Yeah I'm not a big fan of the layout either, just the workspaces and tab stacking. Although I am thinking about switching back to Firefox for the panorama tab groups addon.
I was actually pretty close to those. I drove past Cape Perpetua but didn't stop to explore it. I will definitely visit those on my next trip out there.
This weekend I drove over 500 miles to get to the Oregon coast from a neighboring state of which I live close to the border. The total distance I traveled could have taken me from Spain into France then into to Italy and then end up in like Switzerland or Austria or Slovenia or something. Could see Barcelona, Marseille, Florence, Milan, Zurich, but instead I saw hundreds of miles of nothing and then the Pacific ocean lol.
I switched back to Vivaldi recently after I learned about the workspaces feature they added. Will probably use this until Arc comes out for Windows, and then switch to Stack Next when that's had a lot more development.
Yeah this move has killed all interaction with Reddit for me. I only open a reddit page now if it's in my google results for something I'm searching, but the last few times I've hit this message. There's thousands of subs that are never going to get reviewed because they're small and I'm sure at the absolute end of their queue.
I joined after the Apollo debacle started with Reddit, so I joined what had the most users at that moment and it was lemmy.world. But I already had a good idea of how these federated apps work, so I wasn’t super worried about which I picked. I imagine a random normie instagram user would delete the app as soon as they saw the list of servers, if they even got that far.
Hate the be a downer but I can’t see anyone but “tech savvy” people joining this. I can’t even get my sister to verify her Zelle account to get money I sent her. Having to choose a server is going to be wildly confusing to most people.
Same reason why if you have part time 4WD in a vehicle you should put upwards of 10 miles per month with 4WD engaged (just try to keep it to straight roads). Check your owners manual first, but every 4WD vehicle I’ve owned has recommended it.
I hate when they pull this shit at drive through fast food. “Would you like to round up to donate to our charity?”
Who knows what the person taking my order thinks about this charity, and what they might do to someone’s food who says no.
Edit: The fact that merely implying a fast food worker wouldn’t be a complete perfect human being gets so many downvotes says a whole lot about this community.
@Kichae@kbin.social pointed out here why it may not really matter too much. As long as everything is pretty well cross pollinated, things should be discoverable. I imagine the bigger the user base the better it will be.
