  • The fact she didn't plead guilty to any felony charges seems important to me.

Did the DA agree to only misdemeanor charges in order to get her to plead? Chesebro rejected a deal of probation in exchange for a felony guilty plea.

  • The deal would have allowed Chesebro to avoid prison time by pleading guilty to one felony count of racketeering, the top charge in the indictment, according to the sources.

Kraken pleaded guilty to all misdemeanor crimes. That's a huge difference.

  • Honest question. I feel like I've seen this same story 5 times already... is it being reposted a lot?

  • I totally agree. My comment misses that point.

  • Let the Trump cult be. They are a minority of a minority.

Focus on fielding quality candidates that are not Hillary-Clinton-esk and Maga will fade away. Focus on getting out the vote. Focus on issues that resonate with the center right to center left.

It's not that hard of a concept, but it it doesn't sell ad clicks. It doesn't drive engagement either. So we get to wring our hands and are subject to Salon articles for the next 13 months instead.

  • My phone number is the same as the tech support number for a crappy dashcam company - except the last two digits are transposed.

I get a few calls and texts each month for them.

When I'm in a good mood I copy and paste a helpful response telling them the issue. When I'm annoyed, I just block the person.

  • Not enough evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt in court. They could have brought charges 25 years ago, he would have been acquitted, and then he'd have been profiting off his crimes ever since as the guy who killed Tupac and got away with it.

They held off charging, and when he tried to profit off of his crimes anyway, he ended up confessing. Now, they can gain a conviction because they have better evidence.

  • “Office space doesn’t matter to me, but it seems to be important to them,” she said. “Now that the new Republican Leadership has settled this important matter, let’s hope they get to work on what’s truly important for the American people.”

    That's the point.

  • I think he has a fringe right wing bingo card he's trying to fill out.

  • Old ignorant men, clinging to vestiges of power, desperately trying to hold back the progress of time.

Conservatives, Republicans and Religious Leaders have so much in common, don't they?

  • A way to group communities would make my moderating tasks so much easier.

We've been asking for something like this from the beginning.

  • Why the F does he have a job at Berkeley? Why isn't he unemployed?

  • How is Gaetz not extreme enough? Do you honestly think he's anything but on the far right?

  • I don't even care if she increases some turnout for the right. The more people who vote, the better it is for the country.
