  • Lindsey Graham is all about Lindsey Graham, always has been.

He attached himself to John McCain when he wielding influence and power, then to Trump once he became President.

If more of the establishment believed Trump was going to win in 2016, Graham would never have been a Never Trumper, he'd have grabbed Trumps coattails from the beginning.

Lindsey Graham doesn't face whichever way the wind blows. He faces where it's always at his back.

  • So much of our government requires people to have ethical values. People like Thomas, Alito and Trump weren't expected.

  • Smart to not have an audience.

  • Garland and people in the DOJ who were left over from Trump slow walked it.

Once the Senate finally confirmed the people Biden appointed, the process started to speed up.

Garland is to blame, but Semate Republicans feet dragging appointments is also to blame.

  • Voting districts by Wisconsin law must be contiguous. The current maps have districts separated like two diagonal squares on a cchessboard. That's illegal and should not have been allowed by the previous conservative majority state Supreme Court.

  • This has happened before and it will keep happening unless these corporations are held accountable.

  • The people who stormed the capital were able to do so because intelligence was WILLFULLY ignored. Trump and his appointees downplayed the risk of violence and denied reinforcing the capital.

Without those loyal to Trump ignoring refusing to increase security for the capital, the storming of Congress would not have been successful.

  • When ANY killing is acceptable, murder becomes slightly less reprehensible to a society.

If the state kills someone through the courts because they deserve the death penalty, then when a murderer feels a person deserves it, they can justify, in their minds, the killing of a person.

Again, any killing of a human should be the ultimate taboo. That's the way to decrease murder in a society.

  • Nice shot.

  • We all know by now the death penalty isn't a deterrent.

When the government condones killing, it makes killing acceptable.

We should be aiming to make killing another person a reprehensible taboo and by allowing the death penalty we are actually condoning it.

Throw him in a supermax where he will be forgotten. Killing him let's him off the hook.

  • Senate Democrats banded together Wednesday night to oppose the creation of a new (30 person) office to audit US military assistance for Ukraine as part of a provision in the annual defense spending bill.

So, then no new aid could be delivered unless the panel was in place. The Republicans would then put a hold on appointing some of the needed members, thus holding the aid hostage unless their demands were met.

    Democrats are not stupid.

  • A coup. That's what was attempted. Everyone may not call it that now, but that's what history will call what Trump attempted.

Trump has to be held accountable and punished severely as a deterrent for the future.

It took 244 years for our first nearly successful coup. The next attempt may be much much sooner.

  • What I was responding to was about what happens when the ads are removed by subscribing. If the ads are removed, there is no more tracking.

  • Whoever comes out first with Moderator options will get my money. Hopefully it's by donation to the developer instead of a app subscription.

  • No. The data tracking is because of the Google services ads. An app developer gets no compensation for data tracking, only serving ads which causes the tracking.

  • If he is convicted, he will spend the rest of his life in jail unless a Republican is elected President in 2024 or 2028.
