  • Why doesn't this ever go the other way with a Republican turning coat into a Democrat?

  • Inorganic chemistry was so fun. Learning about the octet rule made figuring out molecular structures so intuitive. Balancing chemical equations were also not too hard if you knew what kind of reactions you would expect. Even learning about orbitals wasn't too bad. Organic chemistry OTOH...

  • The average American is stupid and thus easily confused. Hell, half of us read at a 6th grade level...

  • I was a skeptic since at least the age of six. I remember having to write a letter to Santa in first grade and basically wrote down I didn't believe in him. I wouldn't want to teach my kids the "Santa is real" nonsense, otherwise they might believe God is too.

  • I'm so done with American automakers. Politicians want a free and open market but pass protectionism and subsidies for their corrupt buddies in the industry. Chinese companies simply leveraged their assets and knowledge to make good EVs while their American counterparts only cared about using whatever cash infusions they received from the government for their own personal gain. If you disagree, just know that the upcoming administration is full of oligarchs who will try to regulate their way into monopolies through tariffs, legislation, judicial review, and the dismantling of important governmental agencies.

  • No but their money base is corporate lobbyists. They don't care if they lose so long as they keep getting those donation checks. Right now they're just a controlled opposition, exemplifying the ratchet effect whenever they're actually in charge.Their leadership needs to be replaced with people who reflect Bernie Sanders' ideals of messaging and governance and ditch this pathetic pandering to Republicans.

  • AAA gaming is ruining the industry. Indies are still going strong however.

  • Wendy's tastes vaguely like In n Out. They used to taste way better a few years back. Whataburger is basically Burger King with mustard. Wendy's is by far the better option IMO.

  • Gearbits Mafia Trilogy Dave the Diver

I'm enjoying the hell out of Gearbits. It's an indie mech shooter with Gundam aesthetics and fast-paced action like Armored Core for a base price of only $10.

  • The opsec of the assassin is pretty solid. I wouldn't be surprised he swapped out his clothing at some camera blind spot to blend in with the city crowds and misdirect the investigators instead of going to Central Park as it was reported.

  • Water's a pretty good radiation shield, otherwise Geiger counter go brrrr.

  • I figure legitimate in this instance just means they won't have any reason to expect repercussions for their acts of violence.

  • This time is a little different. A lot of slightly older but really decent hardware won't be compatible with Window's TPM requirements. They're forcing their customers to buy all new hardware for an overall worse experience. Pair that with the upcoming Trump tariffs and you'll see some people second guess their next choice of OS if it means they can save on a lot of money if they make some concessions on what they want. I'm not saying it'll be a huge change but at least it'll keep ticking up the Linux market share enough for some software publishers to start offering their products on the platform like Steam already is.

  • Just throw my body in the trash. And no religious burial. I'll be damned if some pastor who doesn't know shit about me give an hour long eulogy about Jesus over my corpse.

  • I hope they let the beetle go. It'll be better for everyone if the little guy can propagate instead of filling out a slot in a glass display case.
