  • Nicotine still has negative health effects, even without tar. It is not harmless. We've also had multiple waves of badly manufactured carts with lead contamination, chemicals known to cause lung damage, etc. It harms everyone who vapes. And everyone whose face they blow vape into. But, it at least far less obnoxious than actual cigarettes.

  • I am really looking forward to those new battery developments. I still think the EV industry needs to focus on serviceability. I strongly believe in right to repair, and vehicles that are designed to require disassembling most of the car to replace a battery is simply anti-consumer design philosophy.

  • In much of the USA, bags of pre-sliced bagels are the only kind available. If you are not in a large urban center, that is all you likely have access to.

  • If the battery is not easily swappable, then your green EV is a rolling pile of premature waste by design. Not intended to be drivable for 20 years, living a long life on the used car market (as is common with ICE cars), but instead diverting prematurely to waste in a nicely profitable way.

  • EV owners really need to stop being elitist snobs to people who may not live like them. We do not all live in affluent urban settings with free plentiful chargers, never driving any distance. This classist combative attitude never convinces anyone that an EV is better or will serve their needs.

  • The drive in theater option would be great for people who live in apartments with no access to a charger. To fully charge, not just top up.

  • It saves me $10 per month, and that $120 per year is more than worth it. Plus, my home network is none of their business, and using your own equipment is your only means of privacy and control within your own network. I understand that not everyone cares, but consumers should be educated.

  • Do not use their router. You are not required to. I have xfinity, and I use my own modem and my own router. No monthly rental fee. Just takes a little research before purchase.

  • Carbonated anything is bad for your bones and teeth, long term. That's not avoidable by drinking diet soda. Artificial sweeteners have been shown to still cause simular effects in the body to actual sugar in some cases, and other health issues over time.

Coffee drinks as typically ordered at Starbucks are also filled with unhealthy additions and should be treats, not daily staples. Plain drip coffee taken black is healthier, but rather gross, yet I know people who drink it

I'm team tea, myself. Definitely the superior drink. Actually strengthens your teeth (stains them yet makes them stronger) if you dont add sugar. Just don't carbonate it or add too much other stuff to it if you're after health.

  • Chocolate oatmeal. Grab a box of rolled oats, a bag of sugar, and a thing of cocoa powder from Aldi. Put half a cup of oats, a couple of teaspoons of sugar, and about half a teaspoon of cocoa powder in a bowl. Add enough water or milk to cover the oats. Stir, and microwave a minute at a time, watching g the bowl to make sure it doesn't boil over. When the oats are soft, enjoy!

Can be breakfast or dessert as needed!

  • You can do this same recipe with the great big burrito tortillas, too.

  • Looks like @Skiv must be @Izzy on a second user account.

  • Since changing the world in that way (suggested by Izzy) is impossible, it is trolling everyone to suggest that the problem isn't real because if the environment were changed it wouldn't be a problem. It's a hypothetical fantasy and should have been stated as such. It's a shallow excuse to argue to invalidate the experiences of others. An attempt to lessen how seriously this disorder is seen. It is so precisely written and constructed to do this, that it seems quite impossible to have been an accident. Basic composition classes in college struggle to teach people to do this on purpose so clearly and succinctly.

  • "Disorder" can be seen negatively. That is fair. However, if you use a milder term than "disorder", then it is even harder for people to take ADHD seriously as a real thing. This is already a challenge, and using a less serious word would make it worse.

  • You're a primitive human in the wild. You're hunting, tracking the prey for a long time. You get distracted and start doing something else. You die. Perhaps even your entire family may starve. This is why it's a disorder across very different environments. It can affect the person's ability to cope across extremely different environments.

Likewise, if you have impulse control problems with your ADHD, you might not be able to prevent yourself from making a noise or movement at the wrong time, scaring off the prey or getting the attention of a predator (like a lion). Well, there goes your survival once again.

  • Well, in the wild, if you couldn't concentrate on one thing long enough to hunt/gather/fish, then you wouldn't eat, and would weed yourself out of the gene pool.
