Yeah that's actually good. It's also the first time I've seen reverse on this greed process that's seemingly everywhere nowadays. I might be negative about Nintendo sometimes, but that's great move of them. Kudos.
That's actually pretty bad and should be fixed asap. There have been people robbed and near extinct animals killed because someone uploaded an image with coordinates in the exif. Social media should always by default delete this info during upload.
Yes, because I still have to go to Reddit for gaming content. It's getting more and more, but on Lemmy they are still small or some don't exist. I try my best to interact with content on Lemmy, but sadly I'm not much of a post submitter.
People against it have a valid reason but at the end we should admit, communities in the size of a Discord, don't have too mich value, as one might just go on Discord than. Communities here need to grow to get independent from controlled social media platforms.
It's the future.
Lemmy is already the same quality of conversations as Reddit, as long as you spend some time curating your instances and block some communities. Subscribing however would be much better, but right now there's a bit too little content.
Only 16 user. I don't have an issue with most people. However since I brows mostly new content from All, I got to block some communities (166 so far) or I'll see gay/trans content, content in foreign languages or Russian propaganda. I don't have anything personal per se against the former, I'm not homophobic, I just don't want to see nude males constantly. Other trans communities are just fine, like when they do memes or news.
Sadly the later part, Lemmy is basically Reddit/r/worldnews but worse and spread over multiple communities without curation, allowing for a lot of propaganda. I don't need content of people telling me that communism, which failed in their shit hole of a country, is the answer to capitalism.
However I see that this is a constant battle of the instance owner trying to keep ahead, so some of those are probably blocked instance wide already by now.
This will become less of an issue once the content we subscribed to is more and therefore we don't need to brows All to get enough entertainment. It's getting better by the day.
Availability Heuristic looks out of place. It's pretty much the only bias I have (beside confirmation bias, which is hard to avoid as sneaky it is), but how should one survive in this world without relying on others? Without doing a scientific bias free study on every topic in life, you're unavoidable suffering from that bias. A healthy level would be avoiding making it a rule. I regularly disagree with friends decisions, so maybe I don't have this bias.
The switch only had Super Mario Odyssey. I don't count rehash with a short new bonus level. SMO was amazing, but where is SMO2?
Zelda Totk is basically Botw and you just need the later to have the same map. Also both Zelda were no traditional Zelda's, they were mostly sandbox games.
Kirby was largely seen as too easy, one really has to be okay with that. I was hyped but didn't expect it to be that easy. Left me kind of disappointed.
Metroid Dread, I wish it hadn't been a 2D platformer as there are so many of them. Most interchangeable. Looking forward M4 still.
Megaman, I'm no fan of so I can't say much about it.
Splatoon is amazing and a big selling point.
Same with smash, but you could just own one of the dozen different versions on a different system and would not notice.
Pokémon has always been my selling point, but everyone knows the issue with those. I literally have more fun playing old DS Pokémon games, even though challenge never was their strong point.
Nintendo Switch 2 is just Nintendo. While with a portable device you could play so many indie games on the go that either have expensive Switch ports or don't exist for the Switch at all. Switch 2 is not going to change that. And yeah, I asked myself a lot if I have just outgrown Nintendo games, but truth is Nintendo changed a lot and so have their other publisher releasing for Nintendo systems. I'd not have as much fun with old games, who I have never played before otherwise.
