I have a really hard time understanding the lyrics when I listen to songs (maybe because I'm autistic and have some auditory processing issues) so I'm often wildly wrong about them.

I used to hang out with hippies and artists and the age range is quite large there. There was this dude in his 70s who would casually talk about the time he helped get rid of a body after a murder acquaintances of his did in the 60s or 70s or something. He was actually put on trial and got convicted in the 80s when one the people who did the actual murder couldn't live with the guilt and confessed but managed to get it overturned when he appealed and got acquitted, in part because they never found the body because like 5 years after they disposed of it they put a new highway right over it. Old people are fucking wild lol

Agreed. I live in a European country where it's very normal to let your cats outside, and I was a mail carrier for 4 years, so I got to pet so many cats 5 days a week. You do the pspsps, then crouch a bit and extend the hand. They either ignore you and move or on they're interested and come to you and bam you're petting a sweet kitty.

I had to do an official test along with a psychological examination for reasons when I was almost 18 years old, so I know at some point I was in the blue zone or above, but it doesn't really fucking matter when you have autism, a mood disorder and have been neglected by your parents so you never learned things like determination or frustration tolerance. I think I shaved a solid 10 IQ points off anyway from almost a decade of substance abuse issues, so now I'm just autistic and dysfunctional without the gifted part.

It's actually insane how many teachers and other education professionals waved me off with 'you're smart enough, just try harder' while I was obviously suicidally depressed and extremely dysfunctional. Having undiagnosed autism because I was a teenage girl in the '00s was fun.

How not to get people to read your article: have a fucking 99 slide presentation. Like what the fuck that couldn't have been done in a third of that?

My language doesn't even have a word for sibling which has annoyed me every since I learned English 15 years ago.

Not literally that many beers, but the equivalent in other types of alcohol, for sure. The trick is to use a fuckton of amphetamines so you don't notice how drunk you are so you can extra destroy your body and brain. But nothing the multivitamin can't fix!

My pharmacy is ridiculously short-staffed because of summer, so they're only open for 3 hours in the afternoon. But because everyone is calling in those 3 hours, it's so busy you don't even get put on hold, it just says the wait time is too long and to email them and hangs up, lmao.

It's country specific. They were discontinued only in the US, but they still operate in multiple European countries, and in my experience like 70% of households here in the Netherlands have one of those things.

Same here. I have neither the religion of the germanic peoples who 'invented' Christmas nor the religion of the ones who incorporated it later (or any), but I can appreciate lights, warmth and people who are important to you getting together at a time of the year when it's cold and grey and dark for 16 hours a day. That's why and how the winter solstice was originally celebrated and I get that.

Damn that explains why I was diagnosed at 20. It wasn't because women in autism is severely underdiagnosed, it was because I had only recently gotten it by diligently voting in every election since turning 18! 😫
