I'm not saying it's more measured or practical, I'm saying it's inevitable when the system doesn't serve the people. I'm saying chaos is preferable to tyranny.
They aren't banking on a military coup d'état, they want to delay and obfuscate until their crooked Supreme Court can award them the presidency, then start passing legislation that allows red states to do whatever they want with regards to elections. All this "never vote again" stuff is literal, the GOP wants to take advantage of the fact that there are more red states and that gives them unbalanced voting power, then stuff those governments with loyal cronies.
All this because Lincoln was killed and we subsequently fucked up Reconstruction. Should have changed the rules back to protect citizens instead of land.
Single-handedly? Nah. It pulled a lot of existing ideas together though, and it's certainly responsible for the popularity. Another Minecraft influence is early-access.
The MAGAs only win if the big blue states play along. I know that's tantamount to civil war, but in the event of blatant election interference they should just refuse to accept the "new" federal government. Peaceful transition of power is a lie if the process is illegitimate.
I mostly block people with egregiously bad-faith takes. I like an internet argument when at least one side is providing sources or well-reasoned arguments, it's an opportunity to learn, but when someone is just barely disguising their bigotry while "just asking questions" I'd just rather not see them ever again.
A problem with extending the acronym to specifically include more edge cases is that it makes the omissions more obvious. Another is that having a bunch of syllables is clunky in speech. "Queer" is pretty inclusive, though many are still uncomfortable with the term as it has been used as a slur. I've always been fond of SAGA (Sexuality and Gendered Acceptance) because it covers everything, is memorable and meaningful, and has no baggage. And using preferred labels when they are known, also a fan of that.
And it was a pretty great deal when you watched a load of movies, like my family did. We were very early adopters. Queue over a hundred titles deep and it never shrank because we added as fast as they came.
There's natives and then there's "aggressive natives". The whole problem with invasive plants is that they outcompete in their niche so you need the big guns. Very specific to your location.
Needs more than that to compare favorably against Triple Triad.
Kuja fell very flat for me. Relation to Zidane is retreading old ground, design is obviously trying to evoke Sephiroth, motivation seemed generically evil. The stuff with the Black Mages and Vivi was great (possibly just because Vivi is a top tier character and his innocence juxtaposed against the tragedy helps it hit). The Genome stuff feels awfully close to the Sephiroth clone stuff, right on down to the lead protagonist full of false memories. The Terra/Gaia angle is kinda cool.
Heartily agree on aging the best, visually. The stylized fantasy aesthetic gives it a pleasant timelessness.
Style is probably the biggest thing IX has going for it, maybe character writing. The main plot wasn't gripping or novel, you've already touched on some gameplay missteps, and Tetra Master is garbage.
Not in this context. The usage of "based" as a positive generic adjective comes from Lil B "the BasedGod" and has nothing to do with whatever you're saying.
Airborn events are dramatic and awful but rare and preventable, and I think gut reaction legislation is bad practice. I would like to see widespread adoption of laws for securing and operating these things but I don't think they meet "ban outright" danger. Backyard pools are way deadlier and I don't even think those should go away.
