  • Pfft. What a way to twist my words. The single-issue people who constantly talk about voting third party over Gaza are going to be responsible for a Trump administration that will accelerate the genocide in Gaza. If any of these useful idiots actually gave a fuck about Gaza you'd work with the only viable party that could get a ceasefire to happen.

It's also ignoring the severe harm a Trump administration will do to the American people. Sure, you voted third party so technically your hands are clean. But it's also throwing women, people of colour, LGBTQ, and everyone else who isn't a straight white male under the bus. It's throwing everyone in Ukraine (who by the way, are ALSO being genocided. But fuck them, right?) under the bus by withdrawing support and there very likely won't be another election in 4 years to get those progressive policies you want so bad from the Dems if Trump wins.

There is far more at stake than just Gaza. Get your heads out of your asses. If your third party nonsense helps Trump win then you're just as responsible for the deaths of countless Palestinians.

  • That's Index's "gotcha" every time someone brings up the dinner photo. He posts these every time as if it's not normal for world leaders to meet... and Stein is not a world leader.

  • Tankies usually say dumb shit like "Blue MAGA" which is absolutely hilarious. Really makes it easy to tell when someone has no clue about what they're talking about.

  • The single-issue Gaza voters who ignore everything else at stake besides Gaza.

  • Yeah, they were arguing with FlyingSquid about it and even when faced with direct evidence blazera kept lying and lying. Obviously bad faith.

  • Just FYI, somebody else already tried explaining all this to blazera and blazera was completely unreasonable about it. You're not going to get anything through their thick skull.

  • Of course it's exactly who I expected to show up and say that lmao. They're so fucking predictable. It's hilarious.

  • Not even Greens, they don't put any serious effort into local elections either. Any other (serious) third party would be better locally.

  • They're usually late to the party. They didn't post on another Stein thread until long after the discussion was over.

  • That's Weevil for you. I've never seen a single good argument made from them and their inability to ever admit being wrong is sad.

Perhaps it's time for them to remove the undergarments from their head.

  • Probably best to use a smaller instance instead of .world. The less centralized Lemmy is, the better.

  • It's definitely a feature that's sorely needed for the browser versions.

  • Boost lets you tag users so you can figure out who is consistently beint shitty. I think a few other apps also have that functionality.

  • That's why I tag people who do this. It becomes much easier to figure out who is consistently being a shithead or pushing an agenda.

  • I don't block them because I enjoy seeing them twist themselves into knots trying to ignore how FPTP works and digging deep holes for themselves when called out. The mental gymnastics are Olympic-level.

  • The people who constantly post about Gaza in every single thread are the worst in this regard. While yes, the genocide isn't okay and it should be discussed, there's a time and place and it doesn't need to be brought up everywhere in every discussion. Many of them are needlessly hostile when this is brought up to them and you just get labeled a genocide supporter. Sometimes I just want to scroll and read threads without hearing about children dying all the time. Gaza is their entire personality and it seems like nothing else matters to them in their lives.

  • I usually tag problematic users (usually those who constantly discuss in bad faith, are needlessly hostile or rude towards other users, or push dis/misinformation and propaganda) so I know who are repeat offenders with consistent bad behaviour, but I rarely block people unless it's very clear that they have no interest in participating in good faith or are so irritating that I can't deal with them anymore. A lot of problematic users still have valuable things to say and I'd rather not make my feed an echo chamber, even if those people often piss me off with their nonsense. But with some of them it sure is tempting.
