That's such a childish view. The world is not black and white, and neither are politicians. If you can't figure out the difference between Harris and Trump then I'm not sure you're mature enough to be talking about politics in the first place. You should learn nuance first.
This article is about China, not the U.S. We can acknowledge shitty things happening elsewhere without having to go "U.S. IS ALSO BAD!" in every discussion. We know. It's not relevant.
A lot of people not familiar with Thomas also don't realize Henry is let out of the tunnel in the following episode of the TV series. Many people think Henry really was bricked up for always, and always, and always. But the truth is that it was to teach Henry a lesson for letting his vanity cause significant problems for the entire island.
To expand on that point, Sir Topham Hatt isn't being cruel (though as you mentioned he's not exactly being nice either), he's punishing an engine for jeopardizing the entire railway and putting the livelihoods of all of the other engines and employees at risk. The main line is critical for the railway's operation, as without it, there's no Express, no access to branch lines, and no way to deliver goods and passengers. Without a railway, they'd be out of a job and possibly scrapped, a fate that most engines outside of Sodor meet. And in addition to that, the island of Sodor is heavily reliant on the railway to function and is a major employer in the region. The railway going under would cause economic havok for the whole island. Topham knows this and had to take drastic measures to teach Henry the error of his ways.
I love the quote at the end of A Good Man is Hard to Find. "She would've been a good woman if it were someone there to shoot her every minute of her life." She and her family got shot because she stupidly told the Misfit she knew who he was, making the whole family witnesses. She also caused the accident in the first place with her bad navigation and scaring the cat.
Yeah, I was worried about it too. I've become pretty cynical when it comes to everything becoming enshittified, but I'm hoping they stick to their word.
Huh, I was taught to shake the basket to both drain it and also separate the fries. The fries tend to stick together as one large brick if you don't. I don't work at McDonald's though so maybe their fries are different.
No, it did split in half. It just didn't reach such a steep angle before it did. There's two great videos by Oceanliner Designs that go in-depth on what the movie got wrong, as well as what likely actually happened during the breakup.
Cults require a charismatic figurehead. Vance doesn't have that. Without a leader, they'll fall into infighting and purity tests.
