  • I have diabetes but it's definitely the vitamins, it only happens when I take them. I had a gastric bypass and the bariatric vitamins have high amounts of everything to make up for the malabsorption.

  • People who haven't been through it don't seem to understand it. When my depression was really bad I lost 60 lbs in a few months and couldn't gain any back for 2 years. Even grabbing a premade salad out of the fridge or putting a microwave meal in the microwave was too much work.

  • For me it's people who have a profile pic of their kids on a messaging platform. The point of the pic is to make it easy to tell people apart in my conversation list and I'm not talking to their toddler, I'm talking to them.

  • It sucks there's no way to make use of the current csam blocklists except possibly if you're a big enough instance since you can't get access without approval. Instances going through cloudflare that use the cloudflare caching can use it through them but it only works on images it's serving so wouldn't block them being uploaded, just served to other instances.

  • My uncle doesn't think he's racist, meanwhile the few days he stayed with me I heard the N word more times than I've heard others say it in the past 10 years. He used it not only to describe people but instead of the word black to describe the color of objects. I'm guessing having to rethink what they mean really means they don't say the n word around black people but are being called out by white people they feel they should be able to get away with it around.
