  • I have two degrees from a university. I went in 2008.

If you were 16 in 1990 you would have been 21 years old when Dexter's Lab came out.

I know when I was 21 I wasn't watching the newest "kid" show on nickelodeon

  • Hey Arnold 1996

    Dexter's Lab 1995

    Catdog 1998

    Animaniacs 1993

These are all classic 90's kid shows

If you were 16 in 1990 I doubt you watched much of these shows

    I was born in 1990

I still remember watching Legends of the Hidden Temple that aired 93 to 95

I grew up on all the 90's shows

    I'm turning 34

I would definitely consider myself a 90's kid

Of course if you were born in December of 1999 that's a lot different

Like my brother was born in 1996 and he didn't watch a lot of 90's shows. Not really a 90's kid

But someone that is 30 today was born in 93 and that's getting close to the cut off.

  • No order

    • Pickin' on Modest Mouse - Iron Horse
    • August and Everything After - Counting Crows
    • Closer to the Sun - Slightly Stoopid
    • Manners - Passion Pit
    • Dirt - Alice in Chains
    • Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix - Phoenix
    • Silent Steeples - Dispatch
    • The President of the United States of America - The President of the United States of America
    • Building Nothing out of Something - Modest Mouse
    • Dosage - Collective Soul
  • On my s22+ you can double tap the power button to open up the camera or any app that you'd like automatically.

Motorola shake flashlight was the best. Just a quick chop chop and you'd have a light

I now have a little flashlight button on my lock screen I can slide to turn on the flashlight. Not as convenient but way better than not having it there.

  • S22+

I can drag my thumb down anywhere on my home screen to bring down the notifications. Then notifications are in bottom 2/3 of screen.

There is hardly a reason I need to reach the top 1/3 of my phone

Something like typing in a URL in a web browser

But that small inconvenience where I have to shift my hand isn't worth me losing a big screen

I can still do everything one handed

  • My girlfriend loves her iPhone mini

    She has small baby hands

I can curl my fingers over the tops of hers if we matched up hands

Mini feels so small in my hands and I don't know if it's just the different keyboard, but I can't type on it very well

So I could even see that as a downside of me going to a smaller phone

  • I have a s22+

I always get told I have piano fingers

I used to use a popsocket, but I switched to a phone wallet

Back, Home, and Recent tabs are all on the bottom with a simple swipe up.

I keep my phone resting on my pinky

With it like that, my thumb can reach 2/3 of the way to the top.

Placing my pinky under the phone, I can reach my thumb to the top left corner.

Most of the time, I never need to reach up there

But as for typing, I typed this whole thing one handed

    I enjoy the big screen

  • Getting a new card will temporarily drop your score a few points.

If you're like me that charges everything to a credit card, then you need a lot of available credit to keep the credit utilization low. You want it below 10%.

High credit utilization is going to drop your score more than opening a new card.

Say I have 1 card that has 15k limit. If I spend 10k on it. I have a 66% credit utilization. My score would be horrible.

Now, if I get 7 cards and each have 15k limits. If I spend 10k on them then I have less than a 10% credit utilization and my score would be good.

Can I get 1 or 2 cards that have credit limit of 105k. Yes. But I have found increasing limit is harder than getting a new card.

With a new card you can get 0% apr which is free borrowing of money for 12 to 15 months.

You can get a welcome bonus which are usually very good.

And you can set it up so that you might be getting more rewards like 5% cash back on dinning or other things that another card might not give.

Getting more cards has it's advantages

  • I've always found it difficult to increase the credit limit on cards I have had.

My first card started at 400, and then after a while, I finally got approved for a credit line increase, and it went to 1000.

A couple of months later, I opened a new bank account and got their credit card. I had like a 15k credit line at the start.

I've never asked for a credit line increase again

However, add on some more cards, and now I have a hefty credit line

The best thing about getting a new card is the rewards and perks.

For example, I just got a new card with 0% apr for 15 months. I get to borrow money conveniently for over a year while making interest on it. I get to keep my money in my investment portfolio while making interest the whole year.

More cards with higher credit lines means I can spend more during that 15 months while not affecting my credit score. It keeps credit utilization low.

Yeah, credit cards are easy to abuse. You should always be able to pay off a credit card if need be. You shouldn't be overspending. Emergencies unfortunately happen, but unless you have the money, you shouldn't be swiping the card. Treating it like a debit card is the best policy.

  • Did apple make their own screens during that time?

Heard apple doesn't make them and just read that Samsung is going to supply 2/3 of the OLED screens for the iPhone 14.

Maybe apple wanted to make their phones bigger, but they had limitations.

If you have contracts and stuff getting 3rd party screens, you can't just switch so quickly.

Apple is better to play it off that they don't want to rather than can't. You don't want to be a company that can't.

  • My credit score is over 800 and I have 8 cards plus some store ones.

Getting more cards helps your credit score in the long run

No you don't have to have a lot of cards to get a good credit score

    But it does help
