  • I can't begin to describe how much I disagree with this. The speed limit is the limit to how fast you are legally allowed to drive. No lane legally enables you to go faster. The attitudes normalizing speeding are stupid. You're not entitled to go dangerous speeds.

  • Yeah nothing about this seems like it shouldn't be obvious, it takes some time for everything to fail, just like being 'alive' and having a single organ fail, you can be in various states of 'alive'.

  • This has been a thing in the States for about 15 years, it's not new. If it's just now becoming a thing where you live, understand that things like Gas TV, or ads for products or fuel additives were around since the late 2000s and early 2010s

  • No, opinion and ideas are insulated and picked by algorithms so that, out of the available content, they also feed you videos about specific topics and agendas, and suppress slightly the ideas and agendas they aren't trying to push.

    It's subtle, but you don't need to fool an individual quickly, you only need to incrementally modify opinions on a grand scale. People won't notice, and see these as organic and natural shifts in the ideas and opinions of their peers.
