  • Generally the pipes inside your home and the service line (from the property line to your house) are your responsibility. So I would assume this is for Municipality owned pipes.

My city is currently having residents report to the city what thier service line is made of, by having us make assessment following thier instructions and sending pictures of the water line connected to the water shutoff valve. While they're not currently replacing them for us, they are helping residents connect with reputable plumbers.

  • I'm hoping quote posts don't result in more toxic twitter-like discourse. It's one of the things I like about mastodon.

  • This read and feels like right wing propaganda, describing antifa as a violent terrorist group who claims responsibility for riots is almost funny.

A cursory search only brought up this same article copy-pasted to 4 different websites starting in June, and zero other mentions anywhere else of topic outside links to those 4 articles.

  • I just tried updating my computer to Mint 22 and because I did a lot of tweaking to get VR running well it ended up uninstalling x11. I restored to backup and am now considering just doing a fresh install when 21 loses support instead lol.

  • Don't worry. Fema will run out of money before the end of hurricane season and Christian Nationalist Mike Johnson has refused to hold any votes giving it additional funding until after the election.

Democrats need to be pushing this out into the public consciousness hard, so when Fema does run out of money and people in dire need can't get help, they know who to blame.

  • Why is the president commenting about it to the news? And why is the President helping escalate to an even wider war?

If the point was to limit the spread of conflict, I can't imagine the US joining Isreal in opening more war-fronts will accomplish that goal.

  • I think that's an unhelpful narrative. I think a better narrative is people who needed help and got it, improved their community.

The residents of Springfield have needed help for a long time and haven't gotten nearly enough and that's why things hadn't gotten better until now. The immigrants who have arrived and improved things are people who got the help they needed.

  • As someone who's regularly been to Springfield, oh over the last decade. It's not a beautiful place, it hasnt been for a long time. Most of downtown had been hollowed out and turned into parking lots, other buildings are deep in disrepair, which is contributing reason why it's not recovered as quickly as neighboring cities like Dayton, Urbana, and Xenia.

It's a hard hit rust belt city, long dealing with addiction and other deaths of despair.

  • I had to dig into the issue tracker to find the "non-political" and "anti-woke" messaging.

  • Oh look, a reactionary Godot fork that uses the name of a crypto exchange. They say it's not political but what they mean is it won't be "woke".

Atleast it'll be easy to identify companies that don't deserve my money.

  • Fair enough, I did mean Nintendo Haters as a compliment. It is the morally correct position.

  • I'm pro fuck Nintendo, what boot?

I literally run a project I'm waiting to get one of these legal threats about.

  • I can't name the last time someone has died in a "stampede". It's probably all the egress and occupancy regulations we have to mitigate them.

  • Any problem I've ever had printing is almost exclusively a problem with the printer, it's usually yellow or cyan. Doesn't matter the document is black&white.

  • It's so nice to see all the Nintendo haters. I wonder if they've taken down any of my videos. I've gotten no notifications.

  • Just planted 2 trees I got at the Pawpaw festival a couple weeks ago. They appear to have survived the wind storm from Helene. Even if my lawn furniture was thrown 30 ft.

  • Obama's running mate was Joe Biden, putting him on the ballot. 2016 had a Clinton on the ballot. Reagan's VP was HW Bush.

The more accurate way to phrase this would be "This is the first election since 1980 to not have a Biden, Bush. or Clinton on the ballot."
