I’ve recently learned that consistency of going to bed and waking up at the same time matters more for long term health than sleep duration. I used to obsess about getting 8 hours but go to bed at various times between 10pm-1am and I’d never set an alarm on the weekend. Since doing a consistent 9:30pm-7am my health and energy has improved tremendously in the last 2 months. I’m already starting to wake up before my alarm. I highly recommend trying this if you haven’t already.
I’m tired of this take too. Mute features help taper this - it cuts out the noise and allows you to focus on your own growth. But people’s erratic behaviour is what makes multiplayer games an interesting puzzle.
Conflict within a group is naturally painful due to the evolutionary pressures for humans, but as our brains have evolved so much to engage with this problem I think League is uniquely challenging for us. No other game can elicit the triumph of a close League comeback, even if teammates try to sabotage you due to their own egos from time to time. Winning games like this is even sweeter.
It’s sad that so many people actively warn others away from it. It’s genuinely great and I think the next generation of pvp enjoyers are missing out by avoiding League due to reputation. Just don’t go into it expecting perfectly fair competition or lobbies - focus on what you can improve and you’ll have fun.
I’ve heard a lot of these people are slaves in unstable countries making money for mafia. It is doubly tragic that when people try and troll “pig butchering” scammers, they are often also bullying a victim.

I’m sure many artists would love having ultimate knowledge about all art relevant to their craft - it just hasn’t been feasible. Perhaps if art-generating AI could correctly cite their references it would be more acceptable for commercial use.
