Really? How well did throwing away nukes go for Ukraine?

Simple, without nukes we'll have war, real war, real dead Americans. Most of the reason the doomsday clock is so close right now, is because of Trump. His flippant bullshit about Gaza enraged the Arab world, stepping them closer to nuclear war. His attempts at peace in Ukraine, without involving the Ukrainians, is more likely to cause Ukraine to escalate. His defense secretary just told the Russian's they could defeat the US Navy. Definitely bullshit, but also makes Russia think they can start more shit, probably starting a wider war with NATO.

Oil is the big one, immediate effect and wide spread. Make the local producers sell to Europe and Mexico. They won't want to because so much of it is shale oil, but it's better for everyone, even after Trump is gone.

It depends on the funding of the aggressor. A lone dude isn't going to have a chance. A national asset would have access to the means to take him out, but the risk is the CIA might find out and blow their cover.

Actually yes, there are more oligarchs than the idiots in charge right now, and it's going to come to a head at some point. Each one has their feifdom and they won't go quietly.

More to the point, it's going to reach the point of mass protest again, and moron is going to call in the military. After which everything is on the table. No one in power will be safe in anything but armored transport and guarded villages, which won't last long. At that point the US and it's global hegemony will be broken. There won't be the resources to project military power beyond our borders and a few subject states, because it will cost so much to keep security at home, and productivity will tank hard.

No one can beat the US military except the US itself, and it's being forced to do just that.

The point being, the trade embargoes were America's first step into the war. Not that it was the beginning of hostilities. Up until Pearl Harbor, there wasn't enough support for military action, so trade embargoes were used to spur a reaction drawing us into the war.

At the end of the day, every other country will become stronger, while the United States will become weak and isolated because of Trump.
