I was wondering how she said it in French cause we don’t really have a translation for fuck (that would be "j’emmerde" or "j'encule" in that specific case).

I immediately said no thanks and looked for another model without that, and probably cheaper. It's a rice cooker FFS!

I grew up with an IBM PS/2 and PS/1, when Windows was not existing and RAM was stated in Kilo octet. Those machine were my first tech experience in life until today with my too many computers/homelab that use way too much electricity and are driving wifey crazy. So yeah, I'm a !pcmasterrace@lemmy.world since birth, that is just fact.

No why ? My first computer was the IBM ps/1 that got out around 1990.

Ah another IRC couple! My story is also on this thread and started on IRC as well.

That was a nice time, I regret those chatrooms and the dumb things we said over there.

We were chatting on IRC, and no I wasn’t a moderator. We decided to meet IRL several months to maybe a year after starting chatting. We lived less than 2 hours apart so that made it easier. I encouraged her to find a job in my city as life in Switzerland is sweeter than life with minimal income in Lyon (France), she did and moved in with me.

That was 15 years ago, we’ve been married for 7 years before getting a divorce in 2024 but we are still friends and talk regularly. She’s now a Swiss citizen and is very happy with her professional life.

Now I am not looking for a significant other anymore, but all of my, ahem, 'adult games partners' have been met in bars or places like that.

Tbh French far right and some Christian are crying here as well. Basically saying the whole ceremony was a disgrace, woke bla-bla-bla, they even criticized the kids at the beginning for being "from immigration".

I can't answer for your societal questions since I don't really care about them. But I do it from time to time only for my self esteem.

I smoked for years and became self conscious about my teeth becoming yellow-ish. So I don't smoke anymore and do a whitening maybe once a year at max.

It's a bit like sport, I feel better in my body so I am more happy, social and smile/laugh more.

I played all the closed and open beta of the game, still not buying it.

I just took one month of Ubi+ or whatever the name when the game got out, reached endgame, unsubscribed and never launched it again.
