  • I don't know a goddamn thing about Latin grammar, but it looks like you could follow the etymology of "education" more closely. The "educ" part is itself derived from "ex ducere", so we could probably have "inducation"

  • It honestly doesn't require that much extra spending. Total US aid throughout the two years of the conflict so far has been roughly equivalent to a year and a half of Germany's military spending. Covering that amount between the entire EU would be a single-digit percentage increase on defence spending

  • "British and Irish Isles" is the most common descriptor for the whole archipelago I see, and it seems a fair one even if it's a bit long. It'd be nice if we could all agree on something catchier but that seems unlikely, all things considered

  • At least for Scots, this is not a general case. Some consider themselves not to be British because they don't want Scotland to be part of the UK, others will take exception to the conflation of "British" with "English" because that implies that Scotland is just considered part of England. You don't even have to have strong feelings either way about either England or the UK for that one.

At least for now, the word "British" is associated more with the political entity of the UK than the geographical entity of the island of Great Britain. That most of Scotland is on the island of Great Britain will not persuade anyone in the first camp.

  • Filtering searches by channel can help a lot. If you're trying to understand how a specific feature works and there's a "rules and mechanics discussion" channel then you can search that channel specifically for the feature. But generally I'm afraid there is not a good answer here. Discord is a lot worse than classic forums at this kind of thing

  • Better after some mileage, the specifics of which depend on things like your country's power generation and what kind of ICE car you are replacing. It's within the first 15,000 miles / 25,000 km unless your country runs entirely on coal or something. Over the lifetime of the car it's significantly better.
