  • As happy as I am with my steam deck I love to see competition. I love portables all the way back from my game boy, game gear, all the way through to the vita.

    I hope this new wave of high powered portables keep pushing each other to their limits so we see the best in our hands.

  • It just wouldn’t feel so wretched if they weren’t the ones that told us growing up to not listen to everything we heard on the internet, or to always watch out for slick fellas looking to cash in on you, then them turn around and get taken for just that. Then they turn around and yell at us about how we’re now the ones being unreasonable for having listened to them all those years.

    I feel bad they’ve been taken advantage of. But I don’t feel bad that they let themselves get to that point.

    Everyone has to know when enough is enough.

  • The moves come as a wave of layoffs have hit the tech sector. Companies such as Meta, Amazon and Google have made cuts.

    The Canadian work permit includes study or work permit options for the accompanying family members of US H-1B visa holders. It became available on 16 July and was scheduled to remain in effect for one year, or until immigration authorities received 10,000 applications.

    Seems like right time for them to apply as many fear losing their jobs right now, as well as the spectre of an immigrant averse White House possibly on the horizon.

    These are talented individuals that we’ve been losing due to salary differences between our country and the US for years. It’ll be determined how they contribute, but I expect a tech boom if this becomes more of a habit.

  • I think Reddit leadership has lost sight of what makes them worth visiting and is trying to simplify everything to become another Instagram/Tiktok.

    Give it two years and it’ll be barely recognizable with this leadership, at which point another leader will be brought in to try to return it back to what it was but it will be too late.

    A guy with a tall collar needs to appease a bunch of old guys with even taller collars and if that means we’re all doomed as a species and taking everything we know with us in this cycle of earth, then so be it so some people can have a high score on their bank roll.
