  • I'm happy to see all these letters with no mincing of words.

I'm curious if Zelenskyy who is coming to Alberta shortly will have the time to notice the pararells between this foreign backed separatist movement and Ukraine's. Smith is openly a MAGA traitor.

I hope he says something. He doesn't have to, guy is busy.

Does everyone remember one of Russia's weak justifications for invasion? It's potentially quite relevant in Alberta now in regards to Trump annexation threats.

  • Cool thanks for info.

  • Separatists polled at 19% before the federal election, and there's so much that will stop them even if it somehow passed. These people existed before the PC / Wildrose merger. That was part of Wildrose and Take Back Alberta.

Natives, the Crown, being totally landlocked, the fact they'd lose a huge amount of the population.

Also, Alberta didn't join via negotiation like Quebec. This was Hudson's Bay private property called Rupert's Land. Surrendered to Canada. Alberta would need all premiers to say yes and 50% of the population nationally. Womp womp.

Thanks, Jason Kenney. You really united the reich. Embarrassing clowns. Come on, Nenshi pull it off and give us a break.

Could we even sell our homes without further financial ruin trying to leave? They'd have half or more of the province potentially fleeing. Millions of very angry people with nothing left to lose with a sudden abundance of free time to think about that on the way out.

  • It's been enough to just seed behind a VPN at this scale? I'd like to do something similar one day at smaller scale but I'm a bit fearful.

In my youth I used to operate my own and admin on other ROM sites. The smart move then was Asian server hosts who would take anonymous payments with no personal info attached to the accounts. But we were still worried of Nintendo, keeping safe was a bit scary.

But they never went after us. It was easier for them to just go after people hosting in the USA under their real names.

But that's centralized, different ballpark from p2p. I used to use mullvad for torrents until they removed port forwarding.

  • That's still modern Japan lol. At least, it stands out to me vs western media today.

  • Awesome! I like the original series best by a decent margin. Soooo good.

  • You’re getting absolutely railed on your connection charges; that’s like $4.88CAD a day!?

Your professional opinion is on point 🤣

Yeah. Deregulation happened under our previous idiot premier and he parachuted into a cushy job at one of the utility companies after he had a tantrum and quit for an essay worth of reasons that lead to our current predicament with the alt right. Anyways, nothing sus about that!

We can sell back to the grid here too, but it's not as great a deal with only really generating power in the summer months. From what I've seen locals can basically break even covering the fees on average over a year with the remnants of the solar programs UCP didn't destroy at best. That's also deliberate. They won't let you install a system bigger than the power you consume over an average of three years. So what savvy people do is overconsume on purpose to get a bigger solar setup approved. I might do this one day, but it'll be DIY to save 15k from hiring goons to mount panels to my roof and run the wires. I can do that myself.

I don't anticipate any cratering in foreseeable future because despite the upgrades...they were already overloaded before and borderline now. They've (gov) actually been going around and asking manufacturing plants to shut down in summer months strategically and offering lump sums each time they participate when asked to make it worth shutting down. Clown show.

There was a solar farm getting built...but Amazon owned it so, can't say I was excited. Probably a dead deal now with everything going on.

  • Unless he sold all his shares...well I still wouldn't buy a Tesla, they're anti Right to Repair and anti union.

  • IpFS like ddh says makes the most sense probably. But you can archive a lot of raw text. Try to save what you think the Nazis would burn. I doubt archive.org survives many more years. Leaked archives of american research papers too.

  • I'm in Alberta Canada, so it's recently converted coal plants to natural gas power plants supplied by private deregulated utility companies and resellers. Energy prices have been dropping as a result of the upgrades.

    If you're still curious:

I just switched to the cheaper market rate, so this bill is my previous 9.25 ¢/kWh.

Edit: natural gas bill too why not.

Context matters: Zone 3b climate region, 1200sqft 70's built bi-level with 3 adult humans worth of consumption.

  • 108TB SHR reporting in.

  • 0.087 CAD / kWh here, but it doesn't matter. The bill is majority delivery fees/fuck you fees.

  • You'll never guess mine.

  • Oh tinted newsprint is a smart idea, all aboard!

  • I agree and recognized that. I'm more emotionally upset about it tbh. The debates aren't for the debaters, it's to hopefully disillusion and remove indoctrinated fears from those on the fence willing to read them. It's oft repeated there when people ask "what's the point, same stupid debate for centuries." Well religions unfortunately persist, and haven't lost any ground globally. Gained, actually. Not our fault they have no new ideas.

  • Much respect for introspection 👍

  • I'd love some obscure facts about Mr. Rogers.

    I grew up with him.

  • They said! Bonafide desk licker!

    But clay litter do be...clay.
