  • they (nintendo) could sell me their games any day, I'm waiting to give them my hard earned money. just gonna sit over here with my sustainable linux non e-waste silicon and look at my nice pile of money now, don't mind me 🥰

  • bro I'm so happy that the last windows i set up was 2015... i remember every time the excruciating 1h set aside to click and confirm and authenticate privileged access and pull slider etc... no sensible way to just run it in terminal, at least not that i know of. and nowadays there's this useless right-click menu that hides the real right-click menu and you can only fix this by finding a registry key 😂😂😂

  • this is a very multi faceted issue. me for example would be happy if devs got a bigger cut, but god damn if valve keeps pumping out good and sustainable devices and systems like steam deck, I'll continue to buy everything from them. I'm mad at companies who reinforce microsofts trash OS and everyone who builds unrepairable/unrepurposable laptops and consoles.

  • i actually find this argument flawed. Bluetooth is great but does not provide feature parity. correct me if I'm wrong but aptX was supposed to be lossless audio, but it has been shown that it has compression artifacts. I'll be happy with Bluetooth only if we can have absolutely lossless audio

  • the thing is that i get why they need money for their infrastructure after blowing up so much. but what really rubs me the wrong way is: they have studied how to butcher people's private data for 20 years. now they're really really good at it. can i trust that they suddenly abandon this practice in exchange for my money or are they going to double-dip? a massive mega corp like would never... or?

  • I'm not a proud pirate, but I'll never be a proud data harvest free-for-all resource. there is no glamour to any of this, but I will patiently await a reasonable offering. in the music industry it also worked. as well as the video game industry. you can easily buy honest drm free games
