  • I was at this gathering a while back and a kid I had never meet before came up to me and asked if I had any games on my phone. Are people in the habit of handing their cell phones to strange children? I said, 'I'm sorry, I don't speak English' and they seemed to accept that.

  • It has always depended on enforcement. I had to take a city bus to high school and there was frequently a student or two who would toke up on the buss. Most of the drivers didn't care and we would all get to school smelling of that nasty shit. This was in the 1970s.

  • Open ended games, like Minecraft and NMS , can be really hard for people who only play 'on rails' type games to wrap their minds around. 'Whats the point?', the same one as in living your life.
Also, personal opinion, Stanley Parable is NOT a game. It is a walking simulator with a bunch of bad philosophy thrown in.

  • Do any countries provide email services to their citizens? Of course email is no use unless you have a way to access it, so you would need to add some sort of basic internet connection. And of course you would need something to connect with...

  • If you live in a boarding house or apartment and the man above you comes home late and sits on his bed and takes his shoes off and drops them on the floor. You wait for him to get the second shoe off and drop it.

  • I believe this is what happened to Dr Who. When it started it was for science and history nerds, science sounding gobble-de-gook, cos play outfits, very low production values (the infamous duct tape boots). All just good fun.
When it was rebooted the focus had shifted. The Doctor as the cool guy, a Jesus figure, became more and more pronounced. They started to make fun of nerds on a regular bases. Amazing writing and production values, but at some point during the Tennant era I stopped watching in disgust.

  • Buying a TV should be a one time cost. These companies trying to create a continuing income where none exists is just rampant greed. Don't want to pay the cost of updating and distributing your software? The open source it and get back to making better TVs.
