Nothing, people in research usually judge your work for what it is. In non blind peer review your work might not be looked at with as much interest or diligence, as you already lost some credibility

Yeah I've been in the same boat. Once you get used to hitting the title for the comments it's kinda okay.

But I agree that a mode without thumbnails would be nice. I pretty much never want to reply directly to a post from the feed, so I wouldn't miss that option

Thumbnails are currently the only way to directly visit the link and not the text+comments. How would you solve that?

It's only more accurate because they actually put the fork in a "different" repo (which really is the same repo).

If you only have one repo like in Gitlab, merge request is more accurate.

It can be helpful though if you just need to find the right library function of proper syntax in a foreign language. Usually faster than a search

One great way is browsing an instance's communities, as the instances often have a specific theme as well these days. Like programming.dev

Not defending spez, but their business model was not designed to support third party apps, that much is true. They needed a proper model to share profits with third party apps.

How they went about "fixing" that was completely dilletantish and dumbfounding, though. Now they're not getting any of that potential extra profit and lost a significant amount of users on top

Honestly, what? You're just making stuff up. If he was in favor of Russia he'd have never given access to Starlink in the first place. That was a huge strategic advantage for Ukraine.

SpaceX spent 100 million on supporting Ukraine. I don't think any other company has funded Ukraine's defense efforts with that amount of money
