Let's be realistic though, modern Rockstar still made RDR2, which was full of heart. Not saying for sure that GTA6 won't be a cash grab, but modern Rockstar still very much has it in them to make a great game

I consider Breaking Bad to be one of the most consistent shows. If you don't enjoy the first few episodes, you're unlikely to enjoy the rest of the show. I'm not sure what your friends were on about.

Yeah, on rewatch I generally start at season 2. Same with The Office (US). Both shows are phenomenal, but they take a while to find their footing.

However, I'd certainly argue that even on first viewing, the first seasons can be skipped. You might miss a bit of backstory, but you'd be able to understand most things perfectly fine.

Sometimes it does work great. I imagine Apex Legends would be dying or dead of it hadn't moved to Steam. The increased playerbase was a huge boon to the game

Kind of reminds me of when people claimed that cryptocurrency X had transaction fees only costing a fraction of a cent. While this was true, 99% of people using cryptocurrencies would use a platform which had a large amount of programming to send a transaction, for which the costs would be included as a service fee on each transaction. So while the transaction fee would technically be fractions of a cent, functionally it would be tens of dollars.
