  • In my city, there was a homeless encampment by the river, under an overpass. Not bothering anyone. Local police went in without warning. Instead of just moving them along, which is already bad enough, they literally cut up tents, poured out food and water supplies, and then arrested several of them for various bullshit reasons when questioned.

  • You understand they're completely different operating systems right? The presence of a massive vulnerability in one doesn't necessitate the same in the other. Look at the zero click vulnerabilities in iOS from 2022 that didn't exist in Android.

  • I've seen lights like that before. They were more of a distraction in my opinion. I've also seen lights that cycle back from red, attempting to allow people to clear the intersection before being tboned I guess?

  • No, some of us are just tired of people pretending they're radical for using a different social media than "normies". I came over in the Reddit Exodus like many of us. That doesn't make me special. At least I'm self aware enough to realize that.

  • Well, I recently got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. And instead of doing the smart thing, I've just been drinking myself to sleep multiple times a day, which is easy to do because I'm unemployed.

I'm constantly having to keep my head on a swivel because I pissed off a person known for shooting people and getting away with it - I didn't know this when I pissed him off. Honestly shocked that what I said pissed him off to the point he had his friends jump me.

And last night I ran into an old crush who is not single and started the process all over again of trying to get past it and just be friends with him. But it's hard to just let these feelings go. Fuck my life.

  • Also, infected office documents - spreadsheets being the most common. Get the user to download it, open it, and enable macros and you're in. Microsoft has kinda done what they can to prevent end user idiocy, but you can't stop a determined moron.

  • Dude I hated it as a student too. The only benefit it provided was a one time get out of jail free card per class. Intentionally corrupt a word doc and upload it. You just bought yourself at least a day to continue finishing your paper.
