It's also a tech issue. Linux Desktop is a mess and breaks constantly as soon as you start to tweak it. And every damn plug in is maintained by a few different people with no commitment of backwards compatibility. It's a disaster and incredibly time intensive to troubleshoot every broken desktop on patches.

Linux is great for running technology services. Linux DE is and has been a disaster for 20 years now.

That's a terrible assumption. Many people live in an apartment and street park.

Imagine thinking people are going to wait 30 minutes to charge for work. Putting charge stations at gas stations is stupid and will never work. They already get long lines during busy periods when if takes 3 minutes to fill.

School apps and testing software has tons of DRM. And for good reason. That's the problem.

Yes, have you even played bg3? It stutters way way more and is plenty enjoyable. They both did a mid tier job of optimization.

Look I like the game so I'm not trying to say it's bad in any way but you are just making excuses. Pent up demand doesn't excuse the bugs. Fuck, they didn't even need to develop the underlying systems, they already have 5e and the engines.

I love the rage over this. You've all clearly never met most of the people playing this game. They already spend hundreds on DLC, it's the majority of the game.

Frankly this is a $70 discount for most fans.

It is untrue. You can go to any highschool and find giant parties happening several times a year. It happens at multiple schools, kids travel to the next school over, and they will typical be 100s of kids at these things.

Maybe it's changing with gen z but the overwhelming majority of American high schoolers in the 90s and 00s were having drinks from time to time and party.

Imagine thinking American teens don't drink.

Because it's done underground I fully believe we drink more per capita.

Any serious bitching about SF seems to me to be nitpicking from folks who were just looking to bitch at Bethesda. It's a fantastic game with minor issues that are easily overlooked and don't really affect the experience.

I'd agree to have a conversation on the details. It's nuanced. But the median salary in us is 90k. That's enough to live comfortably compared to most of the world.

Top half of the median salary is 95k a year. Nearly all of them will have decent health care. They'd be making less than in Europe in many cases and that includes cost of healthcare.

I'm not saying we shouldn't improve, especially for low earners, but much of this country is very well off compared to our European counterparts.
