  • I will gather up the destroyed chunks of asphalt and sell them as artifacts to the Trump faithful like a peasant on the road to Llhasa in 1951

  • Yeah tbh it was kind of fucked up of Obama to make everybody do the macarena at gunpoint, I don't see this talked about often

  • Got it, content of critque=

    Okay okay, for real. You seem to think that because I recognize the necessity of uprooting capitalism, I have nothing positive to replace it with? Cause brother lemme introduce a concept you may have heard of before;

  • Much like all the gig economy bullshit companies that collapsed when money became less free and economic gravity got turned up a little, I think these huge healthcare companies that came up during end-of-history neoliberalism and that look imposing, are actually really unsuited to the pressures of the new and innovative "you will be killed" model of socioeconomics.

  • I mean...yeah, we've been supplying Saudi Arabia with weapons and diplomatic cover for at least 4 presidencies now. We were the ones who armed their bombing of Yemen. Fighting them off is how Ansar Allah ("the Houthi rebels") cut their teeth.

  • That doomer mindset that benefits nobody except the oligarchs, the mindset of...pointing out that the oligarchs are oligarchs? Genuinely confused here. You seem to be interpreting physical observations are some kind of provocative personal statement. Slug and salt physically cannot coexist. Flame and gunpowder physically cannot coexist. Capitalism and a healthy, peaceful living world physically cannot coexist. Pointing this out is no more "hateful" than pointing out that 6 times 7 is 42.

Choosing a hateful side or the other hateful side and never thinking about your own ideas, needs of many, morals and ethics, or your own belief is utter disgrace and folly

The needs of the many is actually our whole thing here, and the thing about the needs of the many is that if you actually take it seriously, what usually happens is that the sideliners who have spent much less time examining the facts will call you hateful for pointing out that the hell empire built on mass-subjugation is unsurprisingly the primary obstacle to the world we want. And that a house with a rotten foundation stands no hope of reconstruction.

While bewildered, I really am trying to approach this openly, which is why ive gone back and softened a couple embarassing redditisms in the edit. So genuinely, and in a spirit of understanding: what is your critique of my assessment?

  • In the case of capitalism that is literally true. Capital will try to destroy any country, culture, ecosystem or set of beliefs that can't be exploited, or that threaten it's ability to exploit. It literally is a case of "you have to pick one, and only one can win." Liveable planet, or capitalism. No other options, no way to avoid the choice. Not choosing is choosing.

  • Yeah famously no nazis were ever nice to their friends and families ("good people") while doing bad things for what they thought were good reasons. Like... Snowden, bro, what the fuck are you talking about

  • Lmao it took exactly two waterlogged jets for president big boy to peace out and start ignoring the knesset's calls

  • Oh I see, someone set all the "go upwards" switches to Off

  • You may have misunderstood something. Dismantling Israel doesn't mean sending the population "home."

If you're implying that actually the people being genocide would be the ones doing genocide if they get the chance, I have nothing to say to that level of settler hysteria.

This kind of argument smells bad to me. This is exactly the justification Israel is using for its genocide in Gaza.

There's a reason it sounds like that, and that's because every fascist accusation is a confession. Israel uses human shields, Israel uses mass sexual violence as a terror weapon, Israel burns babies alive and Israel hides military installations inside civillian infrastructure. Israel does everything they accuse the resistance of doing. This is fascism 101 shit.

  • Damn, they built civiliian infrastructure on top of military sites? That's both evil and cowardly as shit, I detest the occupation even more now.

  • As one disenfranchised peon to (presumably) another, I feel that the extent to which each of us is part of the problem is the extent to which we are forcibly prevented from becoming anything else. The problem is very profitable, so participating in the problem is made compulsory while organizing to solve the problem is made illegal and dangerous.

  • -Israel can only be improved by being dismantled, so actually by going home the people who want to improve Israel are doing the right thing

-Many people were born in "Rhodesia", too. That doesn't mean everyone else has to tolerate a violent supremacist ethnostate right next door.

The lesson here, for any countries that might be reading, is this: Decolonization is quite violent, like almost a tenth as violent as colonization. Don't like that? Don't colonize. If you think it's fucked up to just be born somewhere and have to leave, I actually agree. it's fucked up of settler governments to use people as human shields and weapons like that, but it also doesn't oblige the colonized to suffer more occupation.

  • The only actual job of the DNC is to suck up all the space and oxygen that a real left needs to grow, and rubber stamp every oppressive police measure they think they have to in order to secure the profits of the rich at the expense of all other life on Earth. The best of them are self-deluding soft exterminationists at this point, and the bulk of the party has apparently dispensed with even that fig leaf and embraced a kind of haughty, blue fascist schadenfreude regarding the people it failed to browbeat into supporting genocide. It's genuinely the most disgusting thing I've ever seen in my life after the killing itself. The Democratic party is pathologically incapable of taking any responsibility for it's action, has no desire to change anything, and is actively, dangerously hostile to all living beings, first and foremost human beings outside America. Nothing better will be allowed to grow unless it is thoroughly dismantled alongside the Republican party and most of the rest of the US government.
