  • You can bet every little bounce up it does is from his buddies buying up the dip until he drops the whole deal to restore things to normal. Suddenly the rich own an even higher % than they did before in just a few week's time.

  • Yeah, that's the part that I was referencing to. If you have a topic called 'the sky is' on multiple instances, and they all say a different color, it rather defeats the purpose of an encyclopedia as some sort of source of truth if you have to pick which one is right.

  • That could be, I was thinking if the pages were more like the communities. I would have to think they need to be for any kind of moderation, otherwise who approves edits or has edit permissions? If someone else doesn't agree with the vision on the existing page/thread what stops someone from putting up an alternate version?

  • Missing an /s?

Take a look at the 'news' on various instances like hexbear vs world and it's night and day. An encyclopedia is meant to be factually reliable, but if this works like it does here you would have the equivalent of conservapedia and prolewiki sitting side by side as 'true'.

  • What have you done of newsworthy note to get people to discuss the ongoing authoritarian takeover?

  • Probably a lot more stats on it too if you look at the county recorder/assessor offices. Used to do document recording work a couple decades back and the amount of info you can get off public records for free is kind of nuts.

  • This sounds like a way to have 13 different 'realities' for any given topic, depending on which instance it was hosted on.

  • It got people to talk about it and take interest in what is going on. There are undoubtedly some portion of the population that are fully oblivious of the world around them, or just indifferent at least, but someone going on for that long has to make them wonder why he would do that.

  • Because Fox News would never shift blame from the oil industry to those libs out in CA, they're known for being fair and balanced.

  • Not even 3, barely into April...

If anyone isn't a neurotic wreck after a couple years of this they where probably not fit for polite society to begin with.

  • I'd take bets on it, how many times where Canada/Mexico on/off/adjusted withing a couple days?

Edit: my guess is whenever he makes some big sweeping gesture it's because his other hand is pilfering out collective pockets somehow.

  • What's he trying to distract people from? We know perfectly well these won't actually happen.

  • They'll be reverted as soon as he gets some flattery and palm greasing from the right people.

  • The overall trend presented in the article is in a positive direction, which is particularly notable given that it seems these 3rd party delivery services have grown significantly in that same time.

So why are you commenting as though it's some dystopian oppression by corporate overlords?

  • I did, but mostly because I already have a bunch of stuff set up and it's not going to change the costs any.

  • So now he thinks he can make demands extraterritoriality, awesome. I don't suppose he would make demands like 'stop invading and murdering you neighbor countries and their people' now would he? Nah, let's drop sanctions from Russia and who is this Israel place that he was meant to stop from doing bad things, I haven't heard much on them of late....

  • I mean, they might be very strong. So strong in fact that others may wish to come join on their rock. Perhaps for their strength these newcomers could make some payment to them to help defray the costs of protecting their space and providing services...
