  • She's just paying attention to the feed and saving some of the things for later.

  • I would say maybe a case of what are you referring to as attractive. I'm also iny 40s and would say 20s looks good, BUT, the gap in lived experiences, world views, musical tastes, etc, would get tiresome very quickly.

I also recognize that I'm not some Hollywood hero pretty myself, so trying to base a relationship on what is physically appealing as the first thought is not going to go far.

  • Largely because half the services I host are tied to a Univention DC, and so are the current Windows client machines, I'd like to maintain that state.

I know Ubuntu has an AD option when you set it up, but it doesn't seem to work with any of the 'AD compatible' replacements I've tried.

  • Big thing holding me up is domain auth. Someone had decent luck getting something like Bazzite joined to a DC without major manual work?

  • Man, what if our whole world is actually looking out through an eternal bubble in God's great bong though?

  • Court issues lawful order. Participant defies order. Participant is thrown in lockup for contempt. Trump throws a fit claiming it's unfair. Media and others debate if TrumpCo needs to follow court orders...

You know, at least Nixon had the good grace to resign rather than being cast out, but we've gotten to a point where there's a major portion of the population who will actively defend blatantly wrong actions just because their camp is the one doing it.

  • Guessing you mean 'hydrophobic'?

  • 867-5309 (just a guess)

My most recent one didn't have a number. Maybe just someone pointing out open sign up instances to banish? Haven't bothered to look too far.

  • “The necessary Pardoning Documents were not explained to, or approved by, Biden,” Trump added. “He knew nothing about them..."

Funny enough we could just ask Biden about this, and even given an outright 'yeah, knew, read, and would do it again' Trump would spin up some other excuse to say it was fake, or a clone, or whatever other madness comes to mind.

  • Ah, see that's where not reading is a problem. Just saw star link competitor and remembered something a recently about China looking to launch a similar system.

Odd they would phrase it as a 'starlink competitor' then though rather than 'a new ISP bid'. Wireless systems with directional antenna relays are not really new, not sure if any use laser particularly but the concept is essentially the same.

  • Yeah, more thinking the wasted time, resources, and emissions involved in building, launching, managing, and then whenever makes it down.

Take all that and make something useful instead, whatever happened to Google fiber being built out all over? More reliable, faster, doesn't involve sending piles of redundant satellites into space...

  • Yay, more space junk, and knowing Google they would abandon the whole thing a couple years in when it gets boring and leave them to rot.

Edit:not actually sat, which makes it weird to call a 'starlink competitor' then, but I don't write the headlines.

  • Basically small chips pulled off rather than cut off. I might have gone with a finer tooth saw, but not master carpenter to speak to that part.

  • At this point nobody knows WTF he'll do by this afternoon much less a longer plan, is there any surprise that makes for instability?

  • There are filtered keywords and filtered websites options on Voyager, would try playing with those.

  • Step 1: short a bunch of stocks likely to affected by blanket tariffs

Step 2: "I'm enacting a massive across the board tax" causing prices to fall

Step 3: close the shorts for a gain, buy newly lowered stock aft market dip. Announce 'compromise' that brings indexes back up

Step 4: Sell and profit a second time, prepare to return to step 1

  • You can make anonymous accounts, but there's a difference between 'breadguy' and 'anon'. Who is literally everyone posting on the board. In the chan world so called namefags are shunned and not thought of as true channers. By having an identifiable name it gives you some measure of reputation, a name that you may hold some regard for, or at least that others could decide if they want to listen to or block.

I actually like to think of the chan boards as an experiment in social studies. What happens when you allow for purely repression and repercussion free interaction? There are plenty of people who will say and do some absurd things when they're drunk that they wouldn't dare to sober. What happens when that sense of untouchability is available at any time just by going to a website.

  • Anyplace that allows, or in the case of 4chan, encourages purely Anon posting is going to be a cesspit. When there's no accountability, no ID of any sort (even a screen name) to tie actions against then there's no reputation to protect. It might be pleasant at first, but you can bet it won't stay that way for long.

  • Sex cruises to where? The complaints of shrinkage will be legendary.
