  • Parasites serve an important role in both the food chain and to curb species that are too dominant.

I intend to be above parasites in the food chain and win

  • People generally vote less here because there's no shitty karma system here. This also results in a significant reduction of the "hivemind" phenomena.

Everything is a little more genuine lm

  • Some people like the sound of their own voice. Others do it to destress. They aren't doing it out of maliciousness but holy fuck be upfront about not wanting to hear more or stop complaining.

Like seriously "waaah waaah people are too socially inept to take a hint" yet then the same people are too socially inept to be upfront

  • The story is real but the image is unrelated.

Notably what OP left out was that the guy did not do it out of malice. It was an elaborate prank on his end.

  • rule

  • Doesn't fit the spirit of the community tbh

  • And for the kids it's usually an awful experience too. I don't know many if any kids who had positive experience with Disney

  • You don't know a bad OS until you've tried something like TempleOS

  • And unfortunately many of us neglect to do that! Yes I know I should but somehow we never think we need it

I swear I'll download my maps this time

  • Mostly due to repost bots.

Remove em and it becomes better.

Also 4chan shouldn't act like it's all original either. Nowadays they to a large degree copy from Twitter and Reddit.

The meme is also outdated and it shows. Tumblr became its own ecosystem in the last few years thanks to Elons dumb antics on Twitter.

9gag also directly steals from reddit. They run scraping bots specifically to steal popular reddit posts.

  • On cooler news. We found out that our previous measurements on the acceleration of the universes expansion might have been entirely wrong

That is because the data could have been skewed by a rather recently discovered superstructure called the "Local Void" which the milky way galaxy itself borders to and has been obscured by our own galaxy. It's very likely that the universe might not be expanding at an increasing speed after all of it turns out the "local void" skewed the data we have. We are in the middle of figuring THAT out!

  • This so much this. Windows and most modern devices already WILL warn you when something is not safe and clearly that isn't making it stop. It's the human stubbornly signing up to obvious phishing and disregarding these warnings
