  • Some folks will say "well, if they're happy with the ife they're living, that's what matters!"

The fact is, they were never given a choice. They did not know they had an option. They are told that is their sole purpose.

I was raised on this shit. Not to the intense extremes, but close. Me and every single one of my sisters are fucked up from the expectations of this kind of life we had growing up. Hell, my mom birthed ten kids!! What other purpose does a woman have other than pleasing & serving their husband, having children, and keeping everything in order? Your worth and value as a human being is 0 if you do not conform. You have failed your ultimate purpose and are selfishly living in sin if you pursue anything for yourself— travel, a job, further education.... you are not fulfilling your purpose!

It's sick and fucks you up.

  • Tempting. Veeeeery tempting.

  • Ye! It's very strange. I haven't noticed an effect from standard white/yellow onions or anything. Just green onions.

Ever since I cut them out of my diet, I've never had an issue since.

I did love green onions.. but I also love not shitting blood and passing out in front of strangers.

  • I don't eat chicken bones on the regular, if at all.

But turns out it was green onion.

  • Green onions.

  • I was shitting blood, turned grey, and fainted in public. I did go the hospital. They literally said "idk" and sent me home with a 4000$ bill. It kept happening.

Went to a specialist that also resulted in a literal "idk", and they wouldn't clear a colonoscopy because I am "too young" and "don't have a family history." I was begging them to figure it out because this was a fucking nightmare. Nope. At least the bill was 400$ this time around.

It kept happening for over a year at random. Actually terrifying.

FINALLY, I put myself on a diet of oatmeal and water for a month and slowly introduced new foods every week. I was curious to know if maybe certain foods triggered it?

Turns out: yes. I triggered a reaction using one of my favorite foods/ingredients. No idea why, but I had developed some kind of severe intolerance to it. And I had to figure it out myself.

  • I should not be entertaining bait, but here goes:

Gut biome is important to many things with our bodies. I agree.

But to say that a lifelong neurological affliction is caused by a "bad gut biome" is disinformation, at best.

It's a slippery fucking slope once someone claims "x causes y" with no absolute conclusion. Once a scientific study comes out saying that "ADHD is caused by xyz", I'll take that into consideration.

Sick as fuck of people claiming that my neurological disorder can be CURED by keto or diet or some shit. We can live make healthier choices in order to make managing ADHD easier, but, no, it's never been proven to be caused by fucking gut biome or whatever. If it's proven otherwise in the future, I'll accept that. Fine. Cool.

But for now? No. Find me an actual fucking cure, and then I'll stop being angry about shitty disinformation.

  • Absolutely LOVE Inkscape! It even helped me to avoid having to purchase expensive embroidery software!

Plus, when I deliver artwork / graphics to web builders, they're ecstatic that I send SVG files instead of shitty jpegs.

    1000% support Inkscape. ❤️

  • A cause of ADHD is a bad gut biome.

Yeah yeah, and autism is caused by sugar and vaccines fuck off.

  • That does not include ADHD meds.

    From article:

Iron tablets may cause other medicines you are taking to not work as well. Some of these include tetracycline, penicillin, ciprofloxacin, and medicines used for Parkinson's disease and seizures.

  • The moment they took the cheesy potato burrito off the menu, it was over..

  • Correct!

I changed the wording of the post to hopefully make it more clear.

  • I watched the entire video. Guy is talking about how water bottles have become nothing more than trendy fashion. Not too much about any design flaws, other than maybe the bottles getting dented.

That said, I got mine before the trend. As an avid water-drinker who has tried many many bottles prior: it's legitimately a fantastic water bottle! It's easy as fuck to clean, multiple drinking options, has NEVER popped open in my bag and soaked all my shit, and a bunch of other shit.

I like it. Love it, actually. If more people get them, cool. If they don't, that's fine. Seems like the dude is more mad at people hopping on collecting trends. I get that. It's marketing. Sure. However, that said, it's a fantastically functional water bottle that I have recommended to anybody who expresses interest in a bottle.

  • I'm afflicted by both ND and religious trauma.

Honestly, the more I spoke about it with a therapist as an adult, the more horrified she became about how I was treated.

Y'all ever been told you need to be cleansed of demons and pray for forgiveness in order to stop being an evil embarrassment of a person? Or that the reason you have an illness is because you don't love God and aren't trying hard enough?

But don't worry! It got worse.

  • Stanley is peepeepoopoo, imo. Know what works? An actually good, functional product.

If you need a good water bottle, get an owala. I've had mine for like 4 years. Has a carry handle, push button opening that is protected by the handle so it won't randomly pop open, pour OR straw-free sip option, comes in a bunch of sizes, etc.

I'm not a shill, I swear. I'm just a random doofus who used to have a problem with dehydration. I DO NOT endorse products lightly, but owala is a fucking winner for me.

  • I could not walk for more than 5 minutes without excruciating pain. I finally asked to be taken to the hospital after a back spasm that had me bash my face after a fall.

Went to the hospital. Was diagnosed with "mild scoliosis" and "anxiety" and sent home with stronger than average Tylenol. Was bedridden for nearly 2 months. Lost my job. Got other appointments for GP. Looked and said I needed a specialist. I could not afford a specialist, as I was now out of money. They shrugged and wished me luck.

I was forced to stay like this for nearly 2 full years.

When I was on the verge of killing myself, someone offered to pay for a chiropractor. I didn't care. I had nothing to lose.

Anyhow, long story short, guy found that my spine had been forcefully lodged into my pelvis and stuck there. Dude had me healed in week.

This is NOT an endorsement for chiropractors— this is a testament to the failure of the healthcare system. I could not see anyone, so my desperation led me there.

I still have back issues. But I can walk again and be touched without pain.
