  • He's literally pro-dictatorship. Loves the way North Korea is ruled: with absolute authority and with harsh punishments for anyone who disobeys their ruler.

The man is furious that his presidency did not grant him that. If he is elected a second time, he will aim towards dismantling democracy for his own gain.

  • I see people commenting that "cats are assholes, that's why she does this! LOL" which is absolutely sad to see. Lots of people are more understanding of dogs who may have past trauma, but think that cats are immune to that?

I do not know the past history of this cat. You mentioned that they lived outside prior to you adopting them. Did they get pregnant when they were very young? Their "follow and yell"-technique may signify that they see you as A). a kitten straying too far from home or B). their parent/caretaker who they are scared of leaving. Possibly even both!

In short, they are showing concern for you. This is not "asshole" behavior. If she was not affectionate with her kittens, she may see you the same way. Cats don't need to be cuddly in order to show love. This cat seems to be showing love in the only way it may know how.

Talk to the cat while you walk. Communicate back as it meows to you. She may just want reassurance that her one source of stability is not just going to disappear like lots of things in her scary life has.

Thank you for trying to understand your cat.

  • They had a 14-year old kid with them. That poor kid didn't deserve to have been led to his death because of the adults he had no choice but to depend on.

  • It's worse than that, though. All the little squishy bits and nerves that connect to your brain!

Migraines, muscle weakness, paralysis.. all that stuff can be caused because of your stupid spine!

Brain stem? Also connected to your spine.

    Booooo!!

  • Imagine a spouse that is creative, loves you very much, and puts effort into your nutrition.

Now imagine someone insulting both you and your wonderful spouse because they go above and beyond the expected standard.

    The fuck?

  • Fix the stupid fucking spine!!!

One little incident and you're in pain for the rest of your life? Shitty design flaw.

  • I have 9 other siblings, ranging in age from 27 to 48 years old (I think.. it's hard to keep track lol)

My relationships with them all border on good/tolerable. We are very fortunate to be on good terms, despite our very very different beliefs.

I think it stems from the fact that we were never raised with malice/anger being an option in our home. Frustrated? Yes. Very much. But we were never hateful. There was always someone to bond with, and no one ever felt singled-out.

It also helps that we all like our space and were mostly respectful and understanding of that aspect as we grew up. It can be a bit difficult for all of us to make friends who "get" us like our family does, so letting loose at get-togethers is always fun and hilarious.

  • Some people legitimately have no idea how to act around wild animals because the only animals they've ever interacted with are pets or non-lethal "pest" animals (seagulls, pigeons, etc.). Those unfamiliar may often see parks as a petting zoo photo op.

Hell, the last time I posted on Facebook was to warn the neighborhood that there was a dodgy-lookin' raccoon out in the middle of the day and to tell their kids walking home from school not to approach it.

The amount of replies telling me to feed it, approach it, pet it, (or discharge a firearm in a residential area) were staggering. Grown adults. So I am not surprised that folks make bad decisions around wildlife.

  • Seconding Subnautica.

It was one of the few games I've played where I felt sad finishing it.

The sequel does not have the same vibe, though, so be aware of that. It's an okay game, but it definitely misses the vibe the original.

  • I mean, sure, but..

    — gestures vaguely at the rest of the entire site —

  • I've now seen one person complain about it.

I only used 3rd party apps to navigate, so it was never an issue.

Sounds like R×ddit's solution for a barking dog is to run it over with a steamroller.

  • I've never seen this be an issue for anyone.

  • You're able to fuck around and get into shenanigans with taunts and stuff. It's not all just competitive, so I think that giving the option to goof around is great!

Since the game doesnt take itself too seriously, it lends the opportunity to play however you want. It's neat!

The art-style and character designs has also aged super well, too.

  • There's a lotta tech-folk on Lemmy. It's really nice when people are eager to lend you their knowledge instead of berating you for not knowing!

  • I help with a Discord server.

    People don't fucking read. 🫠

  • What's the end game? Bragging about being an "epic troll"? Laughing at "making socialists mad"?

There's no real benefit that doesn't border on pathetic. What an interesting way to live life.

  • If I have to pry answers out of someone, I'd rather cut my losses and move on.

Does this guy think he's cool or mysterious?
