  • That's a fair argument. Even if every used a tiny bit, there would still be a lot of loss to the atmosphere through leaks/etc of the distribution system.

So yes 100% elimination would be ideal.

But this could be a viable middle step between 100% gas heating - Supplemental/Heat Pump - 100% Heat Pump

  • I mean, in the colder climates that have natural gas piped to homes anyway.

Why not use a pilot light worth of gas to keep the evap side a tad bit warmer on the days that it drops real cold.

Sure, your still using some gas, but you'll be extreme sipping at it.

  • its a solid B

    75/100

    It's good.

It's not earth shattering, its not game of the year.

It scratches that Skyrim RPG itch but in space.

It's less buggy and less crashy than people were expecting.

    It's not without its flaws.

    It's a solid B

  • Test

    !functionalprint

    Yeah, typing in

    !functionalprint@kbin.social

just did the above. It's removed the @kbin.social part, but still not a link on Kbin, even when I create it.

EDIT: Interesting, so I used italics so it would show what I actually typed it, and it's a link on your lemmy, where when I typed it without italics, the @blahblahblah was removed by kbin

  • It is a copy paste of the same reply I made to the post where 9to5mac.com talked about the same thing theverge.com did.

I noticed a few people comment they didn't know subs migrated/existed. So I replied here with the same thing, and sure enough other people again didn't know the sub migrated/existed.

People (including myself) are learning how this federating works. How the sub on kbin gets shown on other lemmy instances, and how those people in those instances can see/find the sub through their instance.

I'm still wrapping my head around some comments not showing up, and how subscriptions work.

And how the thumbnail picture and links work for some posts, and on some instances and doesn't for others.

  • I started a sub that had 400k users and was around for 10 years. /r/functionalprint

After I made it read only, admins they just up and gave it to some rando mod that had no experience in that sub at all.
So it doesn't surprise me the mods of a lot of subs have absolutely NO experience in the subs they are modding.

    Screw Reddit.

There are a ton of dangerous 3D printing happening. Especially people doing shit that's pressurized.

  • If your still rockin an old Marlin board,

A raspberry pi + Klipper is the way to go.

It offloads all the super fast calculations to the Pi. You get all the latest linear advance and input shaping functions, and your Pi can wireless I believe, running Octoprint.

The Duet 2 Wifi had all that built in, and Klipper wasn't around at the time I picked up the Duet.

  • I'm still rocking 0.4,

But I've since upgraded my system over the years.. it's now a custom COREXY with a E3D Titan Aero.
The board's now a Duet 2 Wifi and a BLTouch probe.

So now it runs like a $8000 machine and it's only cost me $1000 over the years.

  • That must be one crazy loud drone.

All the ones I fly, including others are practically silent past 100ft...

What RPM/blade diameter is your mini-drone? the smaller ones are louder because of the higher RPM's

  • Built my 3D printer from scratch back in 2013 because prebuilt was so expensive

That's cool, I did the exact same thing in 2013... http://www.shadowram.ca/

JHead + Greg Wades Extruder with a RAMPS 1.4 board... retrofit an old Cartesian bot that was scrapped.
