  • It's crazy, I happened along this youtube channel, and it REEKS of AI generated bullshit.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwQe2fna4KI&t=612s

    The thumbnails are all fake.

    The comments are all fake.

The commentary of the video is extremely weird.

The videos of the machines are real, but the titles are all weird,

and all the videos are the same machines just re-hashed order of them every few days.

    The comments thou.. definitely bots.....

  • Balkenkreuz was in use prior to WW2 and prior to Nazi's.

It appears to be a symbol of the German Armed Forces, which is a separate entity of the political Nazi party.

Some of the German forces,(like the Luftwaffe) were actually pretty anti-nazi.

So while that symbol was used by the German Forces during the Nazi regime, I wouldn't automatically see that symbol and think Nazi's.

The Swastika (with colors/rotation) and some of the SS symbols/group icons are definitely Nazi, as those are directly related to the political party.

  • because those are the videos that pop off.

    Yeah, drama gets clicks,

But Steve did say at the beginning, that this video is unmonetized.

So I give him credit for taking that step.

  • Current VR headsets don’t really produce text you’d want to read?

Yes they do. I currently have one that is perfectly fine readable.

Yeah, I can have multiple monitors in VR setting.

    But what hasn't happened is

1 - No one has made an app with a camera passthrough window to your desk.

2 - Windows for some reason still has a problem with multi-monitors unless you actually physically have monitors mounted.

  • I don't understand why it's not a thing now. Valve Index resolution is already good enough for reading virtual monitors.

Camera passthrough a small rectangular window where your desk is at. (so you can see your hands and keyboard/mouse if you need it,

    And you're done....

  • Can you model stuff in 3D?

If not. Hold off and learn 3D modelling first.

If so, jump in now. Nothing is coming down the pipeline in the next year or two that will be game-changing on the 3D Printing side of things.

Don't buy any printer that's not a CoreXY style, everything else is sub-optimal. At least FDM printers that is.

  • For mechanical engineering, any thing computer or programming related will be

    Python and C/C++

    knowing your way around MATLAB.

and maybe possibly Ladder-Logic or Function Block. (PLC's and the like)

All depends on what engineering you end up doing. But Python is a good place to start.

  • I mean.. sure?

With my job at the moment, I don't need to go out and tend a garden or hunt for food for my family. I don't need to carry water from a source and then find a way to clean it. I have light and warmth at a flick of a switch. I don't need to wash my clothes by hand.

So at the moment, I'm 'enjoying' not having to do all of the above, by providing a single service that then opens up all of the above to me.
And I can also find time to type shit on the internet.

But if your not enjoying or can even tolerate whatever job you have to provide the above, then you can certainly go back to looking after your needs solo.
