Nobody saw Elon coming in to exfiltrate data and rampage agencies the way he did. The tariff shit and destruction of the economy otherwise is pretty in line with expectations.

There's a lot of propaganda and propagandists on Lemmy. It's unclear if he's an originator of it, or if he's just swallowed it whole.

I'm disappointed that Lemmy feels the need to downvote such a mild differing opinion that doesn't even conflict with your own.

All these things can be true. Diagnosis, treatment, and recognition are all much better; we agree there.

I really do think autism and cancer have gotten much more common. And it's very likely something is causing it.

Not vaccines. Vaccines are fine.

Could be plastic. Could be pfas (forever chemicals). Could be lots of things, or a combination. But there's most likely an environmental cause rather than genetic or just an increase in diagnosis. (Though the increase in diagnosis and recognition is also real.)

It's basically "do the cops have enough to be harassing / jailing this guy?"

It's also lined with people on social media telling you resistance is futile and that nothing anyone does matters.

It doesn't take that many smarts to respond to the pavlov effect. A dog can do it.

I agree that the grift most likely came after the actions were decided. The guy in charge is absolutely a moron that acts solely on whims. It's confusing because there are at least a couple people around with the grift agenda or their own plans that are feeding him ideas. So sometimes he uses a smart idea or he mixes what would have been a smart plan with something idiotic and/or some grift.

It's why so many people are willing to kiss his ass. Because if you do it at the right time and you're lucky, you get temporary control of the US government.

"Give me some good warning message css" was a pretty nice use case. It's a nice tool that's near the importance of Google search.

But you have to know when its answers are good and when they're useless or harmful. That requires a developer.

I use it as soon as it's clear what it means. If there are multiple turns, that might be four seconds so that they don't expect me to turn early. I'll typically hit it in the middle of the intersection of the first turn.

If there's no earlier option to turn, I'll absolutely leave it on for 10-15 seconds.

I expect much bigger influxes. From at least a few dozen people with hundreds of accounts. Probably around the time of an election.
