Norris' complains about moving under braking were fine because max was doing that to a degree but his complains that max pushed him off when he outbroke himself and ended up going off were pretty pathetic. Neither driver came out looking good from that fight
Lando was ahead at the apex, Max should have backed out.
This was only because he broke so late that he did not make the apex and almost did not make the corner, certainly left no space for max. If that is how things will be, we will see max divebombing and going into people from now on because like Alonso he too takes advantage of dubious stewarding.
What is perez doing man. Verstappen had a slow stop, drove 2/3rds of the lap with a puncture, made an extra stop and had a 10 second penalty. Even after all that, he still finished 15+ seconds ahead of perez. Just how¿?
Well fitts law doesnt mention anything about asymmetrical spacing anywhere. Infact going by fitts law, the new gnome design is great because the hitboxes are pretty large
Where max looked like he took a pretty normal line
The line slightly different than his normal but nothing over the edge. I was shocked when palmer squarely claimed that Verstappen was the only one over the line and that Lando was never over it during the whole fight.
Well that was exciting at the end. The only thing missing are the long and tedious argument chains that would have been found on reddit with everybody arguing whose fault is it.
Do you people agree with Jolyon that Max going off the track to keep the position should have been a pen. The way I see it, Lando clearly pushes him off after the divebomb
That same logic could be applied for the save and discard button. Should there be a bigger gap between them lest somebody misclick and discard things instead of saving them¿? Atleast in the case where they accidentally click cancel instead of discard, they are not losing any data.
Hell if this really about data safety, discard/don't save should be the isolated button because it is the only destructive option
Here's the thing: Apple's design you'll find that they carefully included an extra margin between the "Don't Save" and "Cancel" buttons. This avoid accidental clicks on the wrong button so that people don't lose their work when they just want to click "Cancel".
And gnome has those dialogs in a different colour to achieve easily noticable differentiation between the two options
And they had the opportunity to change the setup as well as parc ferme is removed after the sprint. Maybe their data suggests that it will be fine but it will be interesting to see what is the situation at the end of the weekend
He didn't have to have fastest lap. He was winning the race. He was saving tires and running at a consistent pace.
The entirety of this was true last year as well. Hell last year he also had a black and white flag shown for track limit violations which would have meant that any further track limit violation would result in a penalty and yet he went for a fastest lap and got it by beating a time set by Perez on new tyres with DRS. Verstappen no longer has the kind of car advantage (or even any discernible advantage based on the last 5 races) that he had last year. If you aren't able to realise that, I can't help you.
If that was true, Verstappen would have taken the fastest lap like he did last year. He was clearly pushing hard and couldn't do that this year because he didn't have the car under him
If 2 seconds is a long time, then what is the 20+ second Verstappen was winning by earlier¿? 2 seconds over 66 laps is just 0.03 seconds a lap - a difference so small that wind, dirty air or track temp will have a larger effect.
The gap that red Bull had was so marginal that I don't think Verstappen could have overtaken Norris if he had been behind Lando after lap 1
