  • Yuki just isn't rated by Marko and Christian, when was the last time that they talked about promoting him?

I think it is more of an issue that yuki is a Honda backed driver and not a "true" red Bull junior which plays against his promotion chances. He is solid and dependable while not being blazing quick - the exact 2nd driver red Bull are looking for.

Also be is not helped by the fact that horner loves Daniel and is borderline obsessed with getting him back to red Bull.

  • No disrespect to sainz but he is no equal to max while gasly and ocon are perhaps the most equally matched line up in the grid. While there is a real risk of Carlos and Max competing with each other to the detriment of the team, that is because Carlos is close enough to max. Gasly and ocon on the other hand are so equally matched that they end up sharing the same real estate on track in almost every race

  • The only bug I have to work out is that it doesn't respect the gtk theme I have configured (GTK 2, 3, and 4). Otherwise, seems like a good option.

Maybe this is because loupe uses libadwaita and not standard gtk4. Libadwaita does not follow the gtk theme.

    Glad I could help though

  • So McLaren are now the fastest car on average (averaging over conditions and corner types), have an amazing driver pairing but operationally are the weakest. Red Bull are no longer the fastest but are operationally the best and by quite a margin. They also have the best driver but he is fighting alone. Merc are pretty well balanced - the car is fast but not the fastest, strategy and operations are good but not perfect and the driver line up is amazing.

All three teams are evenly matched. The double header will be fascinating.

  • bad practice that Toto revealed the existence of the negotiations. Is that just me?

Well Alonso was the one boasting that he rejected merc earlier on in the season. Toto is just confirming that the negotiations did take place. I see absolutely nothing wrong with that
