  • I feel like if it is real this would all be subterfuge to help keep the secret, unfortunately people just buy it now for some reason. It would be an insanely easy secret to keep this way because the public at large will never see any "leak" as credible whether it's real or not, just due to the sheer volume of noise around the topic.

  • pcgamesn is scraping the bottom of the barrel, they literally just find ways to say something with starfield in the title. This has been a thing since at least 2016 when FH3 came out.

It's a cool feature, always worth some mention, but baffling that they feel the need to generate a whole article out of this.

  • Yeah I don't like this kind of rhetoric and I'm a mean old Yankee. Certainly plenty of problems, but there's a lot of genuinely good people down there too. Also good reasons to be down there, a lot of the space industry has set up shop there for logistical reasons and there's a great pool of talent to draw from because of that.

Aerospace is one of those industries that flys under the radar (pun intended) I live in CT and I can't tell you how many people are surprised when you explain to them just how chock full of high end manufacturing our state really is. You can hardly swing a cat without hitting a machine shop making airplane and/or rocket parts here.

  • Something has to smooth it all out beyond batteries and smart management systems. Both of which will help a lot, especially with hydrogen metal cells becoming cheaper and more suited for industrial use but there's no reasonable amount of batteries that could handle it all.

  • Got to see second stage from all the way up here in northern CT. Awesome to see even from 500+ mi away it was clear what it was.

  • There's legal framework for making that more sure, but that's a lot to ask I agree there's no good answer to that question. You never know, a lot of people get blinded by money even if you'd never expect it from them. Just the way the world works you don't know yourself even until the temptation is presented.

Clearly that's not the goal and I do trust that they are more committed to their vision and morals than that, but it's not something you can ever rule out entirely.

  • It can also be read as just staunchly anti war.

Albeit the war is happening whether the US is involved or not. Though I feel it's more fair to characterize it as Russia escalating and the US trying to keep Ukraine in step and not get overwhelmed.

  • It's an order of magnitude difference in prevalence if Peru only had a population of 3 million, which if you asked me before I read that would have been a plausible number.

  • Hometown of Jimmy Stewart. It's an interesting little city, seen better days but IUP basically keeps it afloat.

There's also a Manchester in all northeastern states.

  • I think the point of that was mostly to give info on the population of Peru to put the other numbers into context. I know a lot but the approximate population of Peru doesn't come to mind off the top of my head.

  • When I was in middle school I didn't realize how many of Reel Big Fish's songs were covers until late in high school, obviously that's kind of their shtick but when you don't have access to a big list of nearly every song things slip by you pretty easily, this experience is probably less common these days with streaming etc.

I didn't know primus covered Amos Moses I'm much more familiar with the original track I'll have to check that out seems like a great fit.

  • I'm like 30 I still put my birthday in as 4/20/69 like hell some website needs to know my exact birthday to view a videogame trailer.

  • it will just hand out random DUIs to RAM owners based on statistics and reckless driving tickets to black altimas with tinted windows and bedazzled plate frames.

  • Typical response "they are being indoctrinated" instead of thinking that maybe they need to actually do things that appeal to their voter base, It's so ass backwards it's astonishing. Just the language used alone is all wrong, young voters aren't the issue, the issue is your ability to appeal to them.

  • In theory it could use far less land, water, fuel, and pesticides to achieve a similar output of a superior quality product, In theory. There's a lot of labor resources and energy that goes into growing cotton. You could likely replace many hundreds of acres of cotton fields with a modest factory on 20 acres of land.

  • Yeah but looking at what he showed it's not like a hoarder situation, it's a significant amount of stuff but it's not like there's literally a pile of tires and garbage back there, he's just got some car accessories and a few sets of tires for his cars by his house and stuff like that. It's a lot of stuff for the average person but nothing noteworthy generally pretty tame for a guy that's into old cars. Maybe he cleaned it up some for the news, but if they aren't showing their pictures it's his word against theirs and I'm more inclined to give this guy the benefit of the doubt.

I played Where's Waldo: Oakley Subdivision Edition seems pretty representative based on that. Also residents of Oakley seem to really like having cars and boats and shit in their side yards. if this guy is uninsurable then half the city is.

  • Every building should have that on the doors.

  • Street Legal Racing Redline, but good.

You get to actually modify cars "by hand" swapping out or repairing individual components and the chassis can get bent up by big wrecks, you can buy new or used cars and tear them down and build them up and just cruise the world do street or track racing, demo derby etc. It's all extremely rough but conceptually it's the best thing ever, you really get to "own" a car and experience the highs and lows associated with that.

The closest game with any amount of polish I've played is Test Drive: Eve of Destruction you buy cars at the junkyard and take them to demo derbies, they need to be repaired upgraded etc and they have permanent damage from big hits.

Obviously there is My Summer Car and Mon Bazou both great games but they lack a racing centric gameplay loop and MSC in particular is too hardcore to be a mainstream game.

  • Same, that's pretty much my break point for something like this. I use youtube a lot so I don't mind paying a small amount to remove ads and still have creators get a cut, though I understand why others hate the system.
