  • My theater still gives a better experience than what I get at home due to the bigger screen and sound system. That said the loud obnoxious ads they blast at you before the movie starts make going with friends rather pointless and the previews go on forever. It actually makes me angry every time since it costs me $20-30 to go to movie with concessions. So I am going to say no.

There is a drive in theater that is about an hour away I occasionally go to, but other than that I haven't bothered in ages.

  • Add in sponsors that some ass holes throw 2-3 in a video (FU LTT) and I don't know how people watch YouTube with ads. It sucks so bad.

I do pay for premium, but use smart tube on my android tv box and it feels so good when it rolls right past them.

  • Like SimpleLogins. It allows you to create an email on the fly like mudskipper.lemmy@relay.com that you can create an account with (in this case the lemmy part of the email is taken from whatever company you are signing up with. All emails sent to that email will get forwarded on to you. If the account sells your email to spammers you will know exactly what company sold you out and you can disable that email address. Same thing if the company itself spams the hell out of you.

It's very handy! Only con I have come across is some companies will not accept the address. For those i just move on or create a burner Gmail account.

  • It was a great value! I didn't constantly subscribe because I am not a big movie buff but I had looked into reupping my sub about 2-3 weeks before they announced the closure but it kept erroring out. I tried a few more times after that figuring it would be fun to ride it off into the sunset as it closed but I think they must have just shut down new subscribers. But $15 a month and very little limitations on what kind of movie you could select. It was Way better than the limited options streaming is giving us.

  • At six months were talking about more than a fetus. Baby has lungs, eyes that move around, and they listen to sounds coming from outside the woman's body. But sure, let's just rip 'em out and flush them so she can fit in jeans again. Sorry, but it's a little fucked up.

  • Not sure what I am doing wrong, work is when I discovered problem. This is what happens when I try to search in android. Doesn't work on my work pc or on mine. Maybe it is a Firefox thing?

EDIT: YUP. Tried it with chrome and DuckDuckGo browser and ups tracking search works fine. Wonder what's going on with Firefox preventing it. Don't think it's an extension because doesn't work in Firefox focus either and my work pc doesn't have any addons.

  • I used to be able to search for a tracking number by Google and it would link to the correct delivery tracking service. About 1-2 months ago Google stopped doing this and just gives no results. Why would they stop linking you to FedEx or UPS? Who knows, but my wild ass guess is since Google was not able to link "related" sponsored links along with it they just removed the functionality. They are just actively making their service shittier anytime something minor doesn't dish out a shitty ad along with it.

I've gone on to using Kagi and DDG. Rarely do I miss Google search.
