You can climb a corporate ladder and make this money without hurting people. You can always help people at lower management levels and sometimes even senior manager levels or director levels make little impact. Attempts are made but often shut down or blown off.
Pretty confident that if you absorb anything being said to you like this, it will eat you alive. Keep facing other directions and be influenced by people you respect and adore.
I agree with what is being said but not how it's being said. Politics should be professional and tactful as it shows good leadership. To bring oneself down to such a level shows an uneven temper. Although reasonably frustrating, leadership should be leading by example.
I actually just got told something similar. In a resume was listed, "over 10 years of leadership/management experience" and the recruiter reviewed it and said, "i don't care. I can find 20 other people within two minutes who have 10+ years of experience. Tell me what the skills are."
Tenure in a position means very little. Every year is a diminished return of value.
That's true but that's not what DEI is for. It's aim is to simply be inclusive and not exclusive. DEI was never intended to be a quota or to hire someone less qualified simply because of race. That is actually racism.
Looks like Honeybadger has evolved.
