I did not. The wording is based on how this matches his past statements. In this case, he's being consistent and I can't hate on that.

I can, however, hate the monetary support we're sending there and dozens of other things.

And? They weren't downvoting the president, they were pushing down legitimate information that was specifically asked for by a non-American. Historical even.

That you and the other comment about this are massively downvoted despite being accurate really shows how Lemmy is changing.

I get it, they may not like what the truth stands for or that there's nuance here, with POTUS recent words and actions setting a poor standard. The whole situation certainly sucks but so does the knee-jerk reactions on many of these threads.

He's been saying it for decades (literally), it's only now that it garners so much attention. Look, I can find 100 reasons to dislike the guy but being consistent isn't one of them.

Well, I'd say I understand enough to get by but I did also grow up building RC cars and later working on electronics/computers, so that definitely helped. That said, there's been more than a few times I had to break out a wiring diagram and consult with folks online because I was too scared to break something.

I can't wait to watch this having restored an early 90s Williams machine years back. Doubly so with it being a TC vid, his channel is excellent.

I wanted a machine in college but knew I'd have to understand and maintain it with so many moving parts, thus shelving the idea pretty quickly. Years later, I stumbled into an arcade abused cabinet with a decent playfield and had to have it. It was a challenging few months but a decade later it still works great and I've grown comfortable with crawling in there. Great forums like Pinside were also a tremendous help, I wouldn't have taken the gamble without the Internet.

Ask 100 random people on the street what regulatory capture is and you're not going to come close to half that do. Instead of "don't be surprised" how about we educate people or are least try to add to the discussion.
