  • Would creating a new Google account work? You would need to start new but there should be no risk of losing Gmail access.

This is btw the reason I keep my emails and passwords separate from any other services. Too much can go wrong, even accidentally.

  • I’ve been cutting down and only keep the ones I actually watch. I had a constant Netflix subscription since 2014 but a month ago I cancelled it. Will resubscribe temporary once enough shows pile up that I’m interested in (which might take a while).

Since Futurama is done, I’ll probably cancel Disney now.

Youtube Premium is the one I will keep for longer because I watch it all the time and I’m splitting the costs with family.

  • Can it be my past self from a few days ago? Because I wouldn't want to give my young self any lottery numbers. That Past-Me would become a lazy ass with no values who never learns anything or knows what life is like. Now-Me would appreciate it much more.

  • Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo are the best solutions in my opinion, especially for someone used to Adobe products. One-time payment, bundle available. Look out for discounts if it's not urgent. I got the bundle for almost half the price in January.

Pixelmator Pro is a great, much cheaper alternative but I never really got used to the interface.

  • Was first using Memmy but it felt unfinished and abandoned. Then I switched to Bean. It’s much better but still needs a lot of work. I was not aware there are so many Lemmy clients already. I’m trying Voyager now and it seems very good. As a former Apollo user I feel right at home.

  • I pirate when getting a copy of something is otherwise too inconvenient and/or ridiculously overpriced and I REALLY need to watch it. I used to pirate basically everything. Nowadays very often I will wait for and then rent a movie on iTunes because that is the most convenient way and the price is fine. My FOMO is not as strong anymore. I also rarely watch any series that is not on a streaming service.

  • VR headsets with an external battery pack and/or other heavy components on a cable to put in the pocket (as is now a feature of the Apple Vision Pro).

The first time I tried any VR headset I immediately thought why on earth do they not put all the heavy lifting electronics out of this device into my pocket. That would be way more comfortable. But for some reason it was never done and when it was rumored that the Apple headset would do that I noticed people apparently hated the idea. Everyone keeps saying modern headsets are well balanced it’s not a problem, but my experience is different and it’s one of the reasons for me why I don’t like to use it often.

My current headset is the PS VR2 which everyone says is so comfortable and balanced. I just find it annoying after a few minutes.
