  • Went to Iceland in November. First stop was Geysir, located near Gulfoss. After waiting for twenty or thirty we learned it rarely goes off anymore and the new one is an additional hike. I'm still bummed I didn't get to see it go off.

  • This year I started Holiday shopping about 6 months ago. I am 99% done, just have to wrap them. Cut way down on my stress levels. 10/10 would recommend.

Don't let others dictate how you feel around the Holidays. Need some days off for you? Take em. Don't want to drive/fly across the country? Don't. There will be a next year. Focus on the now and how you feel.

  • I have a withings scan watch. Battery life is 25+ days. My original one, which hubby now wears, has a battery life of over 30 days but doesn't record spo2. Both are water resistant up to 5 ATM, sapphire glass face and an analog watch face with a small, touch less, digital display. I will never not have a hybrid watch again.

  • It was surprisingly temperate. We drove the entire country and I would not recommend the NE corner as it was all snow, but the South usually stays around 8c and Reykjavik was hovering around 5c the whole time. The coldest I saw was at 1a in Þingvellir National Park and that was -8c (23f-ish).

The Northern Lights were absolutely breathtaking and going in summer keeps that from happening.

  • I'm a runner and never really had that problem. Then again, I've never been super buff. I think that's why a lot of sports shirts are on the tighter side. To still uphold that social modesty while providing a barrier between skin to skin chaffing.

  • Same. I'm a dude but quietly judge any other dude who has their shirt off in a public space. Beach? Fine, that's kind of why we're here. Running down the sidewalk? Put your shirt on you attention whore. It just seems... Extra

  • Same in New Mexico. Had to catch out of district school bus at 7:30, which means waking up at 6, leaving house no later than 7. Bus back was 2:45 which meant home by 3:30, at the earliest.
