  • Let's not both sides this shit. Yes, there are some corporate Democrats that are indeed hypocrites (I despise both Pelosi and Newsom) but Democrats have a mole hill while Republicans have a Denali sized problem with it.

  • This would matter if Republicans and their voters gave a shit about being hypocrites. That is not a new thing. Newt Gingrich went after Clinton for having an affair while he himself was having one for instance.

  • Decided to check eggprices.org as well as my local grocer because that press secretary dick said prices were dropping. Local grocery store still has them at the same $7/dz along with a disclaimer that they may not have any. Fair enough. The eggprices.org site seems to be out of step with their own data for the nationwide average price of eggs. It shows an average price of $3.27/dz but if you look at the per state data, the lowest (with a data point of 1) is South Dakota at $6.79/dz. Where are they finding eggs that cheap?

  • Most of those were fixed with gen 2 but the one the two that really matter were not fixed: no water cooling and the CHAdeMO charging. What is worse is that they still didn't fix it over the last 8 years with a newer generation when it was clear those were both nonstarters. Instead they came out with the overpriced Arya which is much worse than the competition.

But make no mistake, the Leaf back in 2011 was a game changer. It showed that your commuter car could very much be an EV.

  • "At the border" is a bit of an understatement. The town has no land access to the US. There is no ferry service to the US. There was a temporary one during COVID when the border was closed. Their lifeline is Canada. They won't be buying more American goods. The shops will dry up because they will simply be driving a few miles to buy from Canadian stores. The few business owners that actually provide goods will have to shut down.

  • Sucks for owners that bought before he was clearly a shitty person. Insurance was already higher for them because there was a value premium. Now used ones sell for less than competing models but they still have to pay higher insurance.
