This is why the death penalty or even prison sentences longer than a decade should be eliminated...

I switched to Lemmy after r/news banned me for obvious hyperbole. Reddit used to be a place where dark humor in the face of absurd events was allowed. I'm not even sure if Lemmy is any better, but I've had all of the humor and interest in life beat out of me now, so I guess I'll be okay.

I learned that from Neverwhere.

That's a trash article, and Antarctica is the last place anyone should worry about cruises going unless they are chopping up penguins for bird-brunch or something.

I almost bought this when the Flashforge Adventurer 5X I ordered didn't fulfill and went on backorder. I'm glad I decided to wait.

I definitely don't think it's irrelevant to anybody. Every pardon is justice for someone. He should have also been pushing hard to decriminalize the sort of thing that got them in prison to begin with. We have way too many things on the books, destroying people's lives and grinding them up in the system for no good reason.

Around that time I was really interested in learning GO. I even made my own board. I also had no money, so there would be no chance that I would have bought this... but I would have lusted after it. (I still suck at GO.)

He should have been doing it the whole time. He was just looking for exit kudos. Which is better than nothing I guess.

Well, that might be the case, but I've only been fed tons of posts on FB that were pretty anti-Israel way too far in the other direction. That can't be the main issue...

That's fine if all the different groups have a forum where being heard isn't decided by the size of the donation.

Why is Meta lobbying at all? Why does any private entity have the ear of presidents and congress? This is a fundamental problem with the system as a whole.

I tried to play that game and totally failed to grasp the controls. The idea of is is appealing. I might have to give it another go.
