Considering the only difference between the right and left when it comes to corporations is how honest they are about their policies. The right says they will do it, the left says they won't, and then they both do exactly the same shit.
I post rental properties when they're available on places like marketplace and the # of people who read zero of the words in my description drive me fucking bonkers. Like you're looking for a place to live, mother fucker. Maybe read the ad to see if it's a place you'd want to be?
My favourite is when my ad says "THIS IS AVAILABLE August 1" and they say "is this available tomorrow?"
If it was available now, the ad wouldn't fucking say the date it's available.
Or the random "Is this available?" click. Like fuck of course it is, I'm just coolly receiving a hundred messages on Facebook on this apartment and I only have it advertised because it's not available. 🤪
Every time I see an unskippable ad, or a second ad, or fuck even 15 seconds of ads, or I just want audio, I open newpipe instead. Hopefully it keeps working.
I do this with my morning coffee when I hit snooze extra times. Just throw a spoonful of instant in my brewed coffee and drink 1 cup. Sometimes with 2 ice cubes so I can consume it quick. Depends how many times I hit snooze lol
I need good pictures for my job. I have an s22 because the wide angle camera is incredibly useful, and I need a stylus from time to time (also for my job).
However, barring a huge leap in wide angle camera, a sharp drop in performance/battery life, I'll run my s22 for as long as it lasts.
If a fairphone with the functionality I need becomes available (in Canada) sometime between now and when I need a new device, I'll switch in a heartbeat.
If lemmy stays small, very. On reddit, I liked being able to discuss it inside the boundaries of one community or the other. But reddit was so huge, splitting things up was good. Here, it's bad. So yes it's a nice idea.
As long as I could I stayed off of it. Then it became necessary for work to be able to post to marketplace, and I'm stuck with the app on my phone.
I would love to somehow silo it off from me completely but I would still need to be able to reply to marketplace messages from my phone, so not sure how it's possible.
