  • Does “fit in your hand” not mean small and compact?

I’m not the one using the term flagship to mean a non flagship phone. You’re trying to change established definitions and conventions.

You want a fancy small phone, no phone manufacturer has ever called a phone that fits that description as a “flagship” so to say you miss the. Is just straight up bullshit and you being an idiot and not using established definitions correctly.

  • So you don’t want a flagship, you want a small compact phone with all the fixings. That would no longer be the flagship anymore by using established conventions.

Flagship has specific meanings and you’re ignoring them to bitch and moan.

  • So the smallest and worst ship would be the flagship? That’s the defence? Lmfao because that makes total sense dude…. And how is that supposed to defend what a flagship is?

How does that mean the smallest and most compact? As my original comment stated, that’s like claiming a cigar boat is the flagship, which no navy would do even if they were making smaller boats. Their largest and fanciest, would STILL be the flagship of the fleet….

I “did read a dictionary”, which is maybe why I’m speaking? OP fucked up what a flagship is meant to be. Atleast I’m not the one making up new definitions to defend my asinine defence. How does the definition support your argument? It would STILL mean the best and most resourceful unit. Which wouldn’t be the smallest…..

the finest, largest, or most important one of a group of things (such as products, stores, etc.)  —often used before another noun

Other definitions include “largest” why did you include the one that doesn’t…?

is the lead ship in a fleet of vessels, typically the first, largest, fastest, most heavily armed, or best known.

Which how is that the smallest and most compact…? That’s literally contradicting the established conventions dude lmfao. But again, bloviate about how you don’t understand language and want to make it what you want I guess…. Flagship has established conventions, and OP is asking for the opposite. Full stop.

  • This makes no sense. Large doesn't mean fancy. Back in the day, making the phone smaller was fancy.

Which has nothing to do with the the historical term and already established convention of the term “flagship”, no one has ever called their compact phone a flagship, got any proof to back that asinine claim up?

The minimal company's flagship phone is a minimal phone. It's their signature phone. The flagship was the ship that had the ranking officer/admiral on it, representing the fleet. Apple, google etc all decided their flagship phone would be huge.

If it’s not the fanciest and most expensive, then by definition and original convention, it’s no longer a flagship phone.

Terms have specific uses, let’s not dilute them to make ourselves feel better. Language IS fluid, but when people are obstinate to already preestablished conventions… a small phone will never by definition eve be considered a flagship, but bloviate if you want.

  • Flagship means the best of the best, of course it’s gonna be large and fancy lmfao.

There’s plenty of phones that fit your niche, but it’s like expecting a cigar boat to be the flagship of the navy dude lol. Gotta temper yourself to realistic expectations, especially when the term “flagship” is thrown out.

  • My water is already hard enough thanks…

My old house I had to replace the element twice in two years and was just contemplating replacing it when we sold it and they missed the hot water issues with their home inspection.

  • Even if you drain them yearly and “descale” them, it’s never gonna be pretty in there.

You can use a backflow preventer so it doesn’t go back into the city supply which lets you do what you please inside. Even irrigation systems need them, if a main break or a hydrant gets used to fight a fire. There’s the potential for there to be a drop in pressure and it pull stuff out of the ground (or hot water tank) back into the municipal supply.

  • Even in NA you shouldn’t drink hot tap water. The tanks get covered in scale, there’s always the risk of legionaries.

Where are you that they suggest drinking from the hot tap is okay? It’s not inherently gonna kill you, but hot water tanks aren’t pristine either… you can sure open your mouth and swallow a little while showering, but don’t be making your tea or using it to boil water faster for food.

  • It’s not the cost, it’s manufacturing capacity and supply.

Theres only so many discs that can me manufactured in a day, they also need to supply movies and the blanks markets.

They have hundreds of other games to print. So yeah they make 500k discs a month ahead of time, and if Walmart gets 20k they have 10k stores, that means each store is getting a whooping 2 units.

  • Ask the clerk, he confirmed there is never shortages or anything like that for physical disks.

    Small town?

When stuff only released on disc stores can only get so many copies. Even if it’s a 100 or so, there’s no guarantee they’ll have enough on launch day to even satisfy demand. People would line up the night before as well.

So if you wanted to make sure you got a copy of a good game to play day 1 with your buddies, you HAD to preorder and hope they weren’t out, since they also held stock to sell day of.

  • It’s dark and night, how can you tell gender?

People are afraid of anything in these situations, but they justify it by using men as an excuse, even though, you wouldn’t tell it’s man or women, until it’s too late anyways….

  • Women can’t murder?

Edit, it’s dark and night, how can you tell who’s approaching you? Men and women both murder, you’re worried about being murdered, not “men murdering” sexism works both ways yo.

  • Before my time slightly, but I always heard some kids calling collect home to say they are ready to be picked up.
