  • Belgian here. We are known to be average at best. Hope you be better soon. I used to bathe 3 to 4 times a week. Quick showers actually. I started making it cleansing ritual after coming home from work. It became something that made me mentally better. Some music, a podcast, whatever works for you, and a bit of me-time. One time a week is ok when it's cold outside but I can imagine that people notice in summertime. They do, even if they don't tell you. Physical care is personal care and reflects on your metal health.

  • In 2018. Times have changed since then. The store that I frequent just doesn't sell bags anymore, not even reusable. They sell a foldable cartboerd box if you really need something to carry your groceries. Most people who shop there use foldable crates. Those who don't come by car use backpacks or those old lady shopping trolleys.

  • One of the bags is made by my daughter from reused cotton and the other two are made from hemp.

It's not only about energy though. For me it was about not using plastic anymore.

And to be fair, the tote my daughter made is just superior. I love it. It has a square base with some straps sewn on the inside of the walls to fixate bottles and four handles, two long for shoulder carry and two shorter for regular carry.

  • Around here it's unthinkable to go to the store without your own bags. Depending on my load I take a backpack, folding boxes of the same set of cloth bags that I've been using for 8 years. It's rare to se people buy a reusable plastic bag these days.

  • Change your diet. You lose weight in the kitchen.

Grant yourself a cheat day from time to time but stay on your diet the first months. I've been on a diet for about three years now and I can have a cheat day once a week.

Expect it to be something you have to commit to the rest of your life but believe me, it gets easier. Don't go on a crash diet but do something that you realistically can maintain.

Then start with some moderate exercise. Just walking more often is a great way to lose weight.

You can't target zones to lose weight but you can tone zones by building muscle. Bigger shoulders lake your waist look thinner.

Stick to it. You'll feel better overall. Good luck.

  • This! I just commented this but It's awful. I'm a teamcoach at work and a lot of the times I can't remember the names of colleagues that I've worked with for over 10 years.

I found a trick though. I ask them for their name. When they respond with their first name I reply 'I know your name, you silly, I need your last name so I can send an email. Only works on newer colleagues.
