What is the last video game that you were completely hooked on?

  • If everyone goes in lockdown a few weeks should suffice but that's the ideal scenario. Containment and immobility are the best ways to smother an outbreak.

    I've followed Bregman from the start when he started writing for the Dutch news site De Correspondent. I love the positive vibe he sends.

    I could go on for a while, I suppose. Every one of them has brought me joy reading. The discworld series are being reread at the moment and at every stage of my life the address me in a different way. The Little Prince is the one I would buy for everyone I know. In French because that works best.

  • I'm still a bit confused about the instances and the political alignment of people on certain instances. I'm on Lemmy.ml but apparently people can be quite toxic on that instance.

    Having to subscribe to the same subject on different instances feels a bit weird. I always wonder what I'm missing out on.

    It also seems like we're missing some critical mass but I'm over Reddit, that's the bottom line.

  • We had these types in a local Facebook group. When I pointed out that one of the more classical oil paintings they showcased once nearly caused a riot at the unveiling because it was a representation of the open minded and free thinking of the painter they came in hordes to counter these facts.

  • I get it. That's why I use Plus messenger. It's a better, more customisable UI. Private chats, groups and channels are on a different page, if you want it.

    Unfortunately I use Discord, WhatsApp, Signal, Element (Matrix) and SimpleX all combined because my contacts are spread out. Looking forward to secure interoperability.
