I have to disagree with the Windows key being useless. Win+Shift+S for selective screen grab to clipboard. Win+E to open a new Explorer window. Win+D to show the desktop. They were my go-tos. Now I'm forced to use Mac I use the Win key all the time too, Win+C, Win+V....
A friend of mine was really eager to play this together in co-op so I picked it up. Day 1 I remember shooting a zombie ghoul creature, as I shot it, it merged into the ground and became invulnerable. This happened in a couple of places and everything felt janky. I think F76 was the point where I decided to stop doing day 1 purchases/pre orders. Never played it since, so no idea how much it's improved, either way Bethesda got my money 💰
Colouring books! The wife, mother, and mother-in-law all find it therapeutic so they get that. Father and father-IL get booze. Brother gets a happy Xmas text as we stopped exchanging gifts years ago.
I suspect this is all part of the long term plan; provide the service at a reduced fee so people gain reliance on the tech, then increase the cost over time. We see this happen everywhere.
Endless Dungeon with a friend. It was entertaining but we finished a full run after not too much time and we're both pretty disappointed. The base gameplay was good, but it really felt like a demo, no real drive to play it again
I think one of the great things about the WAR collectors edition was that you got some excellent merch with it. You got a metal figure (worth around £40 these days), a really good art book, a mousepad (I used mine for many years) and a graphic novel. Sure the MMO was a failure largely in part because EA acquired Mythic and forced the game out the door, but the collectors edition was well worth its price for people that love Warhammer.
The cost Blizzard are charging for a game with digital assets that cost nothing to duplicate is genuinely awful.
I think the issue with trying to apply that logic is you have an echo chamber already forming/formed. If you don't agree with the majority or go with the flow you'll either be downvoted or ignored.
I feel for the teacher, Windows is still the predominant OS that is used by businesses worldwide and it's unlikely to change any time soon. Ensuring the kids have some familiarity with it is important as when a lot of them go into the workplace their employer isn't going to give them a choice of OS to use. A number of schools in my country now provide kids with Windows laptops that can be managed through group policies. I can imagine the teacher feeling frustrated at times as their teaching material will be geared to Windows and may face challenges in being able to grade your kid.
It's great you have given your kid experience in using Linux and that should set them up really well to working in a Linux based environment. Hopefully one day other OS will be added to teacher's curriculum so that all kids have the opportunity to get hands on experience.
Branston beans are superior, they have a thicker consistency and richer flavour. They don't have that weird metallic tang too them either. I once was the kind of person who would only go for Heinz, but after trying Branston I am a convert to superior beans
I think what justifies it is the second case that they encounter. The other guy provides them with scientific evidence that Uhura was experiencing something that wasn't unique to just her.
It was definitely a leap of faith for Pike, but his decision was bolstered by someone (Kirk) that he knows can make the right decisions too.
No one has mentioned it from what I can see but I highly recommend the courses provided by https://www.mooc.fi/en/. It's the university of Helsinki and it's completely free. They offer both Java and Python courses. I believe they have an introduction to programming course that is done in Python.
I just need to put this out there, Branston beans are superior to Heinz. The flavour and the bean juice consistency are just so much better, ever had Heinz with a bit of cheddar added and bean like "I much prefer this slightly thicker consistency!"; Well you get that with Branston without the need to add cheese. Also Heinz has this weird metallic tang to it, as if their beans have been floating in their watery bean water for longer than necessary.
